¹⁵為此，我既然也聽說了有關你們對主耶穌的信仰，以及對所有聖徒的愛心， ¹⁶就不斷地為你們獻上感謝，在禱告中提到你們， ¹⁷願我們主耶穌基督的神——榮耀的父，賜給你們智慧和啟示的靈^[a]，使你們能真正地認識他。 ¹⁸我也求神照亮你們心中^[b]的^[c]眼睛，使你們知道：屬他召喚的盼望到底是什麼；在聖徒中間，他繼業榮耀的豐盛到底是什麼； ¹⁹並且在我們這些相信之人的身上，照著他力量的權能作為，他能力的無限偉大到底是什麼。
