Revelation 19-22

19 1 The heavenly company praise God for avenging the blood of his servants on the whore. 9 They are written blessed, that are called to the Lamb’s supper. 10 The Angel will not be worshipped. 11 That mighty King of Kings appeareth from heaven. 19 The battle, 20 wherein the beast is taken, and cast into the burning lake.

And [a]after these things I heard a great voice of a great multitude in heaven, saying, [b][c]Hallelujah, salvation, and glory, and honor, and power be to the Lord our God.

For true and righteous are his judgments: for he hath condemned the great whore which did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and hath avenged the blood of his servants shed by her hand.

And again they said, [d]Hallelujah: and that her smoke rose up for evermore.

And the four and twenty Elders, and the four beasts fell down, and worshipped God that sat on the throne, saying, Amen, Hallelujah.

[e]Then a voice came out of the [f]throne, saying, Praise our God, all ye his servants, and ye that fear him, both small and great.

And I heard [g]like a voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of strong thunderings, saying, Hallelujah: for the Lord that God that Almighty one hath reigned.

Let us be glad and rejoice, and give glory to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made [h]herself ready.

And to her was granted, that she should be arrayed with [i]pure fine linen and shining, for the fine [j]linen is the [k]righteousness of Saints.

[l]Then he said unto me, Write, (A)Blessed are they which are called unto the Lamb’s supper. And he said unto me, These words of God are true.

10 [m]And I fell before his feet, (B)to worship him, but he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellow servant, and one of thy brethren, which have the [n]testimony of Jesus, Worship God: for the testimony of [o]Jesus is the Spirit of prophecy.

11 [p]And I saw [q]heaven open, and behold a white horse, and he that sat upon him was called faithful and true, and he judgeth and fighteth righteously.

12 And his eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns: and he had a name written, that no man knew but himself.

13 And he was clothed with a garment dipped in blood, and his name is called, THE WORD OF GOD.

14 [r]And the hosts which were in heaven, followed him upon white horses, clothed with fine linen white and pure.

15 [s]And out of his mouth went out a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the heathen: for he shall (C)rule them with a rod of iron, for he it is that treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.

16 [t]And he hath upon his garment, and upon his thigh, a name written, (D)THE KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.

17 [u]And I saw an Angel stand in the [v]sun who cried with a loud voice, saying, to all the fowls that did fly by [w]the midst of heaven, come, and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God,

18 That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of high captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all freemen, and bondmen, and of small and great.

19 [x]And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their hosts gathered together to make battle against him that sat on the horse, and against his army.

20 But the beast [y]was taken, and with him [z]that false Prophet that wrought miracles before him, whereby he deceived them that received the beast’s mark, and them that worshipped his image. These both were alive cast into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.

21 And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sitteth upon the horse, which cometh out of his mouth, and all the fowls were filled full with their flesh.

20 1 The Angel 2 bindeth Satan for a thousand years. 8 Being loosed, he stirreth up Gog and Magog, that is, privy and open enemies against the Saints, 11 but the vengeance of the Lord cutting off their insolency. 12 The books are opened, by which the dead are judged.

And [aa]I saw an Angel come down from heaven, having the key [ab]of the bottomless pit, and a great chain in his hand.

And he took the dragon that old serpent, which is the devil and Satan, and he bound him [ac]a thousand years:

And cast him into the bottomless pit, and he shut him up, and sealed the door upon him, that he should deceive the people [ad]no more till the thousand years were fulfilled: for after that he must be loosed for [ae]a little season.

[af]And I saw [ag][ah]seats: and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them, and I saw the souls of them that were [ai]beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which [aj]did not worship the beast, neither his image, neither had taken his mark upon their foreheads or on their hands: and they lived, and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

[ak]But the rest of the dead men [al]shall not live again, until the thousand years be finished: this is the first resurrection.

Blessed and holy is he, that hath part in the first resurrection: for on such the [am]second death hath no power: but they shall be the Priests of God and of Christ, [an]and shall reign with him a thousand years.

[ao]And when the [ap]thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,

[aq]And shall go out to deceive the people, which are in the four quarters of the earth: even (E)Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle, whose number is as the sand of the Sea.

And they went up into the [ar]plain of the earth, and they compassed the tents of the Saints about, and the beloved city: but [as]fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.

10 [at]And the devil that deceived them, was cast into a lake of fire and brimstone, where that beast and that false prophet are, and shall be tormented even day and night for evermore.

11 [au]And I saw a great [av]white throne, and one that sat on it, [aw]from whose face fled away both the earth and heaven, and their place was no more found.

12 And I saw the dead, both great and small stand before [ax]God: and the [ay]books were opened, and (F)another book was opened, which is the book [az]of life, and the dead were judged of those things, which were written in the books, according to their works.

13 [ba]And the sea gave up her dead, which were in her, and death and hell delivered up the dead, which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.

14 [bb]And death, and hell were cast into the lake of fire: this is the second death.

15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life, was cast into the lake of fire.

21 2 He describeth new Jerusalem descending from heaven, 6 The bride the Lamb’s wife, 12 and the glorious building of the city, 19 garnished with precious stones, 22 whose Temple the Lamb is.

And [bc]I saw (G)a new heaven, and a new earth: for the (H)first heaven, and the first earth were passed away, and there was no more sea.

[bd]And I John saw the holy city new Jerusalem come down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride trimmed for her husband.

[be]And I heard a great voice out of heaven, saying, Behold, the Tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them: and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be their God with them.

(I)And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes, and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, neither crying, neither shall there be anymore pain: for the first things are passed.

[bf]And he that sat upon the throne, said, (J)Behold, I make all things new, and he said unto me, Write: for these things are faithful and true.

And he said unto me, (K)[bg]It is done, I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end: I will give to him that is athirst, of the well of the water of life freely.

He that overcometh, shall inherit all things, and I will be his God, and he shall be my Son.

But the fearful and unbelieving, and the abominable and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars shall have their [bh]part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.

[bi]And there came unto me one of the seven Angels, which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come: I will show thee the bride the Lamb’s wife.

10 And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and [bj]an high mountain, and he showed me [bk]that great city, that holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,

11 Having the glory of God, and her shining was like unto a stone most precious, as a jasper stone clear as crystal,

12 [bl]And had a great wall and high, and had [bm]twelve gates, and at the gates [bn]twelve Angels, and the names written which are the twelve tribes of the children of Israel.

13 On the East part there were three gates, and on the North side three gates, on the South side three gates, and on the West side three gates.

14 And the wall of the city had [bo]twelve foundations, and in them the names of the Lamb’s twelve Apostles.

15 [bp]And he that walked with me, had a golden reed, to measure the city withal, and the gates thereof, and the wall thereof.

16 [bq]And the city lay [br]foursquare, and the length is as large as the breadth of it, and he measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand furlongs: and the length, and the breadth, and the height of it are equal.

17 And he measured the wall thereof an hundred forty and four cubits, by the measure of man, that is, of the [bs]Angel.

18 [bt]And the building of the wall of it was of jasper: and the city was pure gold, like unto clear glass.

19 And the foundations of the wall of the city were garnished with all manner of precious stones: the first foundation was jasper: the second of Sapphire: the third of a Chalcedony: the fourth of an Emerald:

20 The fifth of a Sardonyx: the sixth of a Sardius: the seventh of a Chrysolite: the eight of a Beryl: the ninth of a Topaz: the tenth of a Chrysoprase: the eleventh of a Jacinth: the twelfth an Amethyst.

21 And the twelve gates were twelve pearls, and every gate is of one pearl, and the [bu]street of the city is pure gold, as shining glass.

22 And I saw no Temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the Temple of it.

23 (L)[bv]And their city hath no need of the Sun, neither of the Moon to shine in it: for the glory of God did light it: and the Lamb is the light of it.

24 (M)And the people which are saved, shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth shall bring their glory and honor unto it.

25 (N)And the gates of it shall not be shut by day: for there shall be no night there.

26 And the glory and honor of the Gentiles shall be brought unto it.

27 And there shall enter into it none unclean thing, neither whatsoever worketh abomination or lies: but they which are written in the Lamb’s (O)book of life.

22 1 The river of water of life is showed, 2 and the tree of life: 6, 7 Then followeth the conclusion of this prophecy, 8 where John declareth, that the things herein contained are most true. 13 And now the third time repeateth these words, All things come from him, who is the beginning and the end.

And [bw]he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God, and of the Lamb.

In the midst of the street of it, and of either side of the river was the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and gave fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree served to heal the nations with.

And there shall be no more curse, but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it, and his servants shall serve him.

And they shall see his face, and his Name shall be in their foreheads.

(P)And there shall be no night there, and they need no candle, neither light of the Sun: for the Lord God giveth them light, and they shall reign for evermore.

[bx]And he said unto me, These words are faithful and true: and the Lord God of the holy Prophets sent his Angel to show unto his servants the things which must shortly be fulfilled.

Behold, I come shortly. Blessed is he that keepeth the words of the prophecy of this book.

And I am John, which saw and heard these things: and when I had heard and seen, (Q)I fell down to worship before the feet of the Angel which showed me these things.

But he said unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellow servant, and of thy brethren the Prophets, and of them which keep the words of this book: worship God.

10 [by]And he said unto me, [bz]Seal not the words of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand.

11 [ca]He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.

12 [cb]And behold, I come shortly, and my reward is with me, (R)to give to every man according as his work shall be.

13 I am (S)Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.

14 Blessed are they, that do his Commandments, [cc]that their right may be in the tree of Life, and may enter in through the gates into the City.

15 For without shall be dogs and enchanters, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth or maketh lies.

16 [cd]I Jesus have sent mine Angel, to testify unto you these things in the Churches: I am the root and the generation of David, and the bright morning star.

17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come: and let him that is athirst, come: and (T)let whosoever will, take of the water of life freely.

18 [ce]For I protest unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book.

19 And if any man shall diminish of the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy City, and from those things which are written in this book.

20 [cf]He which testifieth these things, saith, Surely I come quickly, Amen. Even so, come Lord Jesus.

21 [cg]The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all, AMEN.
