28 “And have your brother Aaron come to you, and his sons with him, from among the children of Israel, so that he may serve Me in the Priest’s office. That is, Aaron and his sons Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar.

² “Also, you shall make holy garments for Aaron, your brother, for glory and beauty.

³ “Therefore, you shall speak to all the skilled craftsmen, whom I have filled with the Spirit of wisdom, so that they make Aaron’s garments, to consecrate him, so that he may serve Me in the Priest’s office.

⁴ “Now, these shall be the garments which they shall make: a breastplate, and an ephod, and a robe, and an embroidered coat, a turban, and a sash. So shall they make these holy garments for Aaron, your brother, and for his sons, so that he may serve Me in the Priest’s office.

⁵ “Therefore, they shall take gold, and blue silk, and purple, and scarlet, and fine linen.

⁶ “And they shall make the ephod of gold, blue silk, and purple, scarlet, and fine-twined linen of skillful workmanship.

⁷ “Its two shoulders shall be joined together by their two edges. So shall it be closed.

⁸ And the ingenious band of the same ephod, which is upon it, shall be of the same workmanship: of gold, blue silk, and purple, and scarlet, and fine- twined linen.

⁹ “And you shall take two onyx stones and engrave upon them the names of the sons of Israel,

¹⁰ “six names upon one stone and the other six names upon the second stone, according to their generations.

¹¹ “You shall have the two stones engraved according to the names of the sons of Israel, as an engraver of signets who works and engraves in stone. And you shall have them set and embossed in gold.

¹² “And you shall put the two stones upon the shoulders of the ephod, as memorial stones of the sons of Israel. For Aaron shall bear their names before the LORD upon his two shoulders for a memorial.

¹³ “So, you shall make settings of gold,

¹⁴ “and two chains of fine gold at the end. You shall make them of interwoven, corded work and shall fasten the corded chains upon the settings.

¹⁵ “Also, you shall make the breastplate of judgment with skilled workmanship. You shall make it like the work of the ephod. You shall make it of gold, blue silk, and purple, and scarlet, and fine-twined linen.

¹⁶ “It shall be square, double-folded, a hand-breadth long and a hand-breadth broad.

¹⁷ “Then you shall set it full of places for stones, four rows of stones. The order shall be this: a ruby, a topaz, and an emerald in the first row.

¹⁸ “And in the second row you shall set an emerald, a sapphire, and a diamond.

¹⁹ “And in the third row: a turquoise, an agate, and an amethyst.

²⁰ “And in the fourth row: a beryl, an onyx, and a jasper. And they shall be set in gold settings.

²¹ “And the stones shall be according to the names of the sons of Israel: twelve, according to their names, engraved as signets, every one after his name. They shall be for the twelve tribes.

²² “Then you shall make two chains upon the breastplate, at the ends, of braided work of pure gold.

²³ “You shall also make two rings of gold upon the breastplate and put the two rings on the two ends of the breastplate.

²⁴ “And you shall put the two braided, corded chains of gold in the two rings at the ends of the breastplate.

²⁵ “And at the other two ends of the two braided chains, you shall fasten the two settings, and shall put them upon the shoulders of the ephod, upon the front of it.

²⁶ “Also, you shall make two rings of gold, which you shall put at the other two ends of the breastplate, upon its border, toward the inside of the ephod.

²⁷ “And, you shall make two rings of gold and put them on the two sides of the ephod, underneath, on the front of it, near the coupling, upon the ingenious band of the ephod.

²⁸ “Thus shall they bind the breastplate: by its rings to the rings of the ephod, with a lace of blue silk, so that it may be fastened upon the ingenious band of the ephod, and so that the breastplate is not loosened from the ephod.

²⁹ “So, Aaron shall bear the names of the sons of Israel on the breastplate of judgment, upon his heart, when he goes into the Holy Place, as a memorial before the LORD continually.

³⁰ “Also, you shall put the Urim and the Thummim on the breastplate of judgment which shall be upon Aaron’s heart when he goes in before the LORD. And Aaron shall bear the judgment of the children of Israel upon his heart before the LORD continually.

³¹ “And you shall make the robe of the ephod entirely of blue silk.

³² “And the hole for his head shall be in the middle of it, having an edge of woven work all around the collar of it. It shall be as the collar of a coat of mail, so that it does not tear.

³³ “And below, upon its hem, you shall make pomegranates of blue silk, and purple, and scarlet all around its hem, and bells of gold between them, all around

³⁴ (a golden bell and a pomegranate, a golden bell and a pomegranate, all around, upon the hem of the robe).

³⁵ It shall be upon Aaron when he ministers. And his sound shall be heard when he goes into the Holy Place before the LORD and when he comes out, so he shall not die.

³⁶ “Also, you shall make a plate of pure gold and engrave on it (as signets are engraved) HOLINESS TO THE LORD.

³⁷ And you shall put it on a blue silk lace; and it shall be upon the turban. It shall be upon the front of the turban.

³⁸ “So shall it be upon Aaron’s forehead, so that Aaron may bear the iniquity of the offerings which the children of Israel shall offer in all their holy offerings. And it shall always be upon his forehead, to make them acceptable before the LORD.

³⁹ “You shall embroider the fine linen coat; and you shall make a turban of fine linen. And you shall make a sash of skillful needle work.

⁴⁰ “Also, you shall make tunics for Aaron’s sons; and you shall make them sashes. And you shall make them hats, for glory and beauty.

⁴¹ “And you shall put them upon Aaron, your brother, and on his sons with him, and shall anoint them, and consecrate them, and sanctify them, so that they may minister to Me in the Priest’s office.

⁴² “You shall also make them linen trousers to cover their nakedness. They shall reach from the hips to the thighs.

⁴³ “And they shall be for Aaron and his sons, when they come into the Tabernacle of the Congregation, or when they come to the Altar to minister in the Holy Place, so that they do not commit iniquity, and so die. This shall be a Law forever to him, and to his seed after him.

29 You shall also do this thing to them when you consecrate them to be My Priests: Take a young calf and two rams, without blemish,

² “and unleavened bread, and unleavened cakes (tempered with oil), and unleavened wafers (made from fine wheat flour and anointed with oil).

³ “Then you shall put them in one basket, and present them in the basket with the calf and the two rams,

⁴ “and shall bring Aaron and his sons to the door of the Tabernacle of the Congregation and wash them with water.

⁵ “Also, you shall take the garments and put the tunic upon Aaron, and the robe of the ephod, and the ephod, and the breastplate; and you shall fasten them to him with the ingenious band of the ephod.

⁶ “Then you shall put the turban upon his head and shall put the holy crown upon the turban.

⁷ “And you shall take the anointing oil and shall pour it upon his head and anoint him.

⁸ “And you shall bring his sons and put coats upon them,

⁹ “and shall bind them with sashes, Aaron and his sons, and shall put the hats on them. And the Priest’s office shall be theirs for a perpetual Law. So you shall consecrate Aaron and his sons.

¹⁰ “Afterward, you shall present the calf before the Tabernacle of the Congregation; and Aaron and his sons shall put their hands upon the head of the calf.

¹¹ “So shall you kill the calf before the LORD, at the door of the Tabernacle of the Congregation.

¹² “Then you shall take from the blood of the calf and put it upon the horns of the Altar with your finger and shall pour all of the blood out at the foot of the Altar.

¹³ “Also, you shall take all the fat that covers the entrails, and the lobe upon the liver, and the two kidneys, and the fat that is upon them, and shall burn them upon the Altar.

¹⁴ “But the flesh of the calf, and its skin, and its dung you shall burn with fire outside the camp. It is a sin offering.

¹⁵ “You shall also take one ram. And Aaron and his sons shall put their hands upon the head of the ram.

¹⁶ “Then you shall kill the ram and take its blood, and sprinkle it all around, upon the Altar,

¹⁷ “And you shall cut the ram in pieces, and wash its entrails and its legs, and shall put them upon its pieces, and upon its head.

¹⁸ “So you shall burn the whole ram upon the Altar. It is a burnt offering, for a sweet savor to the LORD. It is an offering made to the LORD by fire.

¹⁹ “And you shall take the other ram; and Aaron and his sons shall put their hands upon the head of the ram.

²⁰ “Then you shall kill the ram and take from its blood and put it upon the tip of Aaron’s ear, and upon the tip of the right ear of his sons, and upon the thumb of their right hand, and upon the great toe of their right foot. And you shall sprinkle the blood upon the Altar, all around.

²¹ “And you shall take from the blood that is upon the Altar, and from the anointing oil, and shall sprinkle it upon Aaron, and upon his garments, and upon his sons, and upon the garments of his sons with him. So shall he be sanctified, and his clothes, and his sons, and the garments of his sons with him.

²² “Also, you shall take the fat and the rump from the rams, even the fat that covers the entrails, and the lobe of the liver, and the two kidneys, and the fat that is upon them, and the right shoulder (for it is the ram of consecration),

²³ “and one loaf of bread, and one cake of bread (tempered with oil), and one wafer out of the basket of the unleavened bread that is before the LORD.

²⁴ “And you shall put all this in the hands of Aaron, and in the hands of his sons, and shall wave them as a wave offering before the LORD.

²⁵ “You shall receive them back from their hands and burn them upon the Altar as a burnt offering, for a sweet savor before the LORD. This is an offering made by fire to the LORD.

²⁶ “Likewise, you shall take the breast of the ram of the consecration which is for Aaron, and shall wave it as a wave offering before the LORD. And it shall be your portion.

²⁷ “And you shall sanctify the breast of the wave offering, and the shoulder of the heave offering which was waved, and which was raised up from the ram of the consecration (which was for Aaron and which was for his sons).

²⁸ “And Aaron and his sons shall have it by a statute, forever, of the children of Israel. For it is a heave offering; and it shall be a heave offering of the children of Israel (from their peace offerings), their heave offering to the LORD.

²⁹ “And the holy garments of Aaron shall be his sons’ after him, to be anointed therein, and to be consecrated therein.

³⁰ “That son who shall become Priest in his place, shall put them on for seven days, whenever he comes into the Tabernacle of the Congregation to minister in the Holy Place.

³¹ “And you shall take the ram of the consecration and boil his flesh in the Holy Place.

³² “And Aaron and his sons shall eat the flesh of the ram, and the bread that is in the basket, at the door of the Tabernacle of the Congregation.

³³ “They shall eat these things by which their atonement was made, to consecrate them, and to sanctify them. But a stranger shall not eat of them, because they are holy things.

³⁴ “Now if nothing of the flesh of the consecration, or of the bread, remains until the morning, then you shall burn the rest with fire. It shall not be eaten, because it is a holy thing.

³⁵ “You shall do to Aaron and to his sons according to all things which I have commanded you. You shall consecrate them for seven days.

³⁶ “And every day you shall offer a calf for a sin offering, for reconciliation. And you shall cleanse the Altar after you have offered upon it for reconciliation, and shall anoint it, to sanctify it.

³⁷ “Seven days shall you cleanse the Altar and sanctify it, so that the Altar shall be most holy. Whatever touches the Altar, must be holy.

³⁸ “Now this is that which you shall present upon the altar: two lambs of one year old, day by day, continually.

³⁹ “You shall present one lamb in the morning, and the other lamb you shall present at twilight.

⁴⁰ “And with one lamb, mingle one tenth of an ephah of fine flour with one fourth of a hin of beaten oil and one fourth of a hin of wine, for a drink offering.

⁴¹ “And the other lamb you shall present at twilight. You shall do so according to the offering of the morning and according to the drink offering, to be a burnt offering, for a sweet savor to the LORD.

⁴² “This shall be a continually burnt offering, in your generations, at the door of the Tabernacle of the Congregation before the LORD, where I will meet with you, to speak to you.

⁴³ “There I will meet with the children of Israel, and the place shall be sanctified by My Glory.

⁴⁴ “And I will sanctify the Tabernacle of the Congregation and the Altar. I will also sanctify Aaron and his sons, to be My Priests,

⁴⁵ “And I will dwell among the children of Israel and will be their God.

⁴⁶ “Then they shall know that I am the LORD their God, Who brought them out of the land of Egypt, so that I might dwell among them. I am the LORD their God.
