Psalm 15

Description of a Citizen of Zion.

A Psalm of David.

15 O Lord, who may [a]abide (A)in Your tent?
Who may dwell on Your (B)holy hill?
He who (C)walks with integrity, and works righteousness,
And (D)speaks truth in his heart.
He (E)does not slander [b]with his tongue,
Nor (F)does evil to his neighbor,
Nor (G)takes up a reproach against his friend;
In [c]whose eyes a reprobate is despised,
But [d]who (H)honors those who fear the Lord;
He (I)swears to his own hurt and does not change;
He (J)does not put out his money [e]at interest,
Nor (K)does he take a bribe against the innocent.
(L)He who does these things will never be shaken.

Psalm 67

The Nations Exhorted to Praise God.

For the choir director; with stringed instruments. A Psalm. A Song.

67 God be gracious to us and (A)bless us,
And (B)cause His face to shine [a]upon us— [b]Selah.
That (C)Your way may be known on the earth,
(D)Your salvation among all nations.
Let the (E)peoples praise You, O God;
Let all the peoples praise You.
Let the (F)nations be glad and sing for joy;
For You will (G)judge the peoples with uprightness
And (H)guide the nations on the earth. Selah.
Let the (I)peoples praise You, O God;
Let all the peoples praise You.
The (J)earth has yielded its produce;
God, our God, (K)blesses us.
God blesses us,
[c]That (L)all the ends of the earth may fear Him.

Acts 4:32-37

Sharing among Believers

32 And the [a]congregation of those who believed were of one heart and soul; and not one of them [b]claimed that anything belonging to him was his own, but (A)all things were common property to them. 33 And (B)with great power the apostles were giving (C)testimony to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and abundant grace was upon them all. 34 For there was not a needy person among them, for all who were owners of land or houses (D)would sell them and bring the [c]proceeds of the sales 35 and (E)lay them at the apostles’ feet, and they would be (F)distributed to each as any had need.

36 Now Joseph, a Levite of (G)Cyprian birth, who was also called (H)Barnabas by the apostles (which translated means Son of [d](I)Encouragement), 37 and who owned a tract of land, sold it and brought the money and (J)laid it at the apostles’ feet.

Psalm 19

The Works and the Word of God.

For the choir director. A Psalm of David.

19 The (A)heavens are telling of the glory of God;
And their (B)expanse is declaring the work of His hands.
Day to (C)day pours forth speech,
And (D)night to night reveals knowledge.
There is no speech, nor are there words;
Their voice is not heard.
Their [a](E)line has gone out through all the earth,
And their utterances to the end of the world.
In them He has (F)placed a tent for the sun,
Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber;
It rejoices as a strong man to run his course.
Its (G)rising is from [b]one end of the heavens,
And its circuit to the [c]other end of them;
And there is nothing hidden from its heat.

(H)The law of the Lord is [d](I)perfect, (J)restoring the soul;
The testimony of the Lord is (K)sure, making (L)wise the simple.
The precepts of the Lord are (M)right, (N)rejoicing the heart;
The commandment of the Lord is (O)pure, (P)enlightening the eyes.
The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever;
The judgments of the Lord are (Q)true; they are (R)righteous altogether.
10 They are more desirable than (S)gold, yes, than much fine gold;
(T)Sweeter also than honey and the drippings of the honeycomb.
11 Moreover, by them (U)Your servant is warned;
In keeping them there is great (V)reward.
12 Who can (W)discern his errors? (X)Acquit me of (Y)hidden faults.
13 Also keep back Your servant (Z)from presumptuous sins;
Let them not (AA)rule over me;
Then I will be [e](AB)blameless,
And I shall be acquitted of (AC)great transgression.
14 Let the words of my mouth and (AD)the meditation of my heart
Be acceptable in Your sight,
O Lord, (AE)my rock and my (AF)Redeemer.

Psalm 146

The Lord an Abundant Helper.

146 [a]Praise [b]the Lord!
(A)Praise the Lord, O my soul!
I will praise the Lord (B)while I live;
I will (C)sing praises to my God while I have my being.
(D)Do not trust in princes,
In [c]mortal (E)man, in whom there is (F)no salvation.
His (G)spirit departs, he (H)returns to [d]the earth;
In that very day his (I)thoughts perish.
How (J)blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob,
Whose (K)hope is in the Lord his God,
Who (L)made heaven and earth,
The (M)sea and all that is in them;
Who (N)keeps [e]faith forever;
Who (O)executes justice for the oppressed;
Who (P)gives food to the hungry.
The Lord (Q)sets the prisoners free.

The Lord (R)opens the eyes of the blind;
The Lord (S)raises up those who are bowed down;
The Lord (T)loves the righteous;
The Lord [f](U)protects the [g]strangers;
He [h](V)supports the fatherless and the widow,
But He [i]thwarts (W)the way of the wicked.
10 The Lord will (X)reign forever,
Your God, O Zion, to all generations.
[j]Praise [k]the Lord!

Acts 9:26-31

26 (A)When he came to Jerusalem, he was trying to associate with the disciples; [a]but they were all afraid of him, not believing that he was a disciple. 27 But (B)Barnabas took hold of him and brought him to the apostles and described to them how he had (C)seen the Lord on the road, and that He had talked to him, and how (D)at Damascus he had (E)spoken out boldly in the name of Jesus. 28 And he was with them, [b]moving about freely in Jerusalem, (F)speaking out boldly in the name of the Lord. 29 And he was talking and arguing with the [c](G)Hellenistic Jews; but they were attempting to put him to death. 30 But when (H)the brethren learned of it, they brought him down to (I)Caesarea and (J)sent him away to (K)Tarsus.

31 So (L)the church throughout all Judea and Galilee and Samaria [d]enjoyed peace, being built up; and going on in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit, it continued to increase.
