使徒行傳 4:32-37

凡物共有

³²於是那一群信徒都同心合意，沒有一個人說他所擁有的哪樣東西是自己的；相反，他們凡物共有。 ³³使徒們大有能力地為主耶穌的復活做見證，並且在他們每個人身上都有極大的恩典。 ³⁴他們當中沒有一個缺乏的人，因為凡是擁有田產或房屋的人，都賣掉了那些東西，把所賣得的錢拿來， ³⁵放在使徒們的腳前，按照各人的需要分給每個人。

³⁶有一個出生在塞浦路斯的利未人約瑟，使徒們稱他為巴拿巴——「巴拿巴」翻譯出來就是「安慰之子」； ³⁷他有一塊田地，也賣掉了，把錢拿來放在使徒們的腳前。

使徒行傳 9:26-31

掃羅在耶路撒冷

²⁶掃羅來到耶路撒冷，想要和門徒們交往，可是大家都怕他，不相信他成了門徒。 ²⁷但是巴拿巴接納他，把他帶到使徒們那裡，並且告訴他們掃羅怎樣在路上見到主，主怎樣對他說了話，以及他怎樣在大馬士革奉耶穌的名放膽傳道。 ²⁸於是掃羅在耶路撒冷與他們一起出入，奉主^[a]的名放膽傳道。 ²⁹他對那些說希臘語的猶太人講道，與他們辯論；他們卻圖謀要殺了他。 ³⁰弟兄們知道了這事，就帶他下到凱撒里亞，然後送他往塔爾蘇去。

³¹這樣，教會在猶太、加利利、撒馬利亞全地得平安、得造就，並且懷著對主的敬畏之心不斷地前行，在聖靈的安慰^[b]中不斷地增長。
