93 1 He praiseth the power of God in the creation of the world, and beateth down all people which lift them up against his majesty, 5 and provoked to consider his promises.
1 The Lord [a]reigneth, and is clothed with majesty: the Lord is clothed, and girded with power, the world also shall be established, that it cannot be moved.
2 Thy [b]throne is established of old: thou art from everlasting.
3 [c]The floods have lifted up, O Lord: the floods have lifted up their voice: the floods lift up their waves.
4 The waves of the sea are marvelous through the noise of many waters, yet the Lord on high is more mighty.
5 Thy [d]testimonies are very sure: holiness becometh thine House, O Lord, forever.
96 1 An exhortation both to the Jews and Gentiles to praise God for his mercy. And this specially ought to be referred to the kingdom of Christ.
1 Sing [a]unto the Lord a new song: sing unto the Lord all the earth.
2 Sing unto the Lord, and praise his Name: declare his salvation from day to day.
3 Declare his glory among all nations, and his wonders among all people.
4 For the Lord is [b]great and much to be praised: he is to be feared above all gods.
5 For all the gods of the people are [c]idols: but the Lord [d]made the heavens.
6 [e]Strength and glory are before him: power and beauty are in his Sanctuary.
7 Give unto the Lord, ye families of the people: give unto the Lord glory and [f]power.
8 Give unto the Lord the glory of his Name: bring [g]an offering, and enter into his courts.
9 Worship the Lord in the glorious Sanctuary: tremble before him all the earth.
10 Say among the [h]Nations, The Lord reigneth: Surely the world shall be stable, and not move, and he shall judge the people [i]in righteousness.
11 Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad: let the sea roar, and all that therein is.
12 Let the field be joyful, and all that is in it: let all the [j]trees of the wood then rejoice,
13 Before the Lord: for he cometh, for he cometh to judge the earth: he will judge the world with righteousness, and the people in his truth.
34 1 After David had escaped Achish, according as it is written in 1 Sam. 2:11, whom in this title he calleth Abimelech (which was a general name to all the Kings of the Philistines) he praiseth God for his deliverance, 3 provoking all others by his example to trust in God, to fear and serve him, 7 who defendeth the godly with his Angels, 16 and utterly destroyeth the wicked in their sins.
A Psalm of David, when he changeth his behavior before Abimelech, who drave him away, and he departed.
1 I will [a]always give thanks unto the Lord: his praise shall be in my mouth continually.
2 My soul shall glory in the Lord: the [b]humble shall hear it and be glad.
3 Praise ye the Lord with me, and let us magnify his Name together.
4 I sought the Lord, and he heard me: yea, he delivered me out of all my [c]fear.
5 They [d]shall look unto him, and run to him: and their faces shall not be ashamed, saying,
6 This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.
7 The [e]Angel of the Lord pitched round about them, that fear him, and delivereth them.
8 Taste ye and see, how gracious the Lord is: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.
9 Fear the Lord ye his Saints: for nothing wanteth to them that fear him.
10 The [f]lions do lack and suffer hunger, but they which seek the Lord, shall [g]want nothing that is good.
11 Come children, hearken unto me: I will teach you the [h]fear of the Lord.
12 (A)What man is he that desireth life, and loveth long days for to [i]see good?
13 Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips, that they speak no guile.
14 Eschew evil and do good: seek peace and follow after it.
15 The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry.
16 But the [j]face of the Lord is against them that do evil, to cut off their remembrance from the earth.
17 The righteous cry, and the Lord heareth them, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.
18 The Lord is near unto them that are of a [k]contrite heart, and will save such as be afflicted in spirit.
19 Great are the troubles of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all.
20 [l]He keepeth all his bones: not one of them is broken.
21 But malice shall slay the [m]wicked: and they that hate the righteous, shall perish.
22 The Lord [n]redeemeth the souls of his servants: and none that trust in him, shall perish.
14 1 He commendeth the gifts of prophecying: 7 and by a similitude taken of musical instruments, 12 he teacheth the true use of interpreting the Scriptures: 17 he taketh away the abuse: 34 And forbiddeth women to speak in the Congregation.
1 Follow [a]after love, and covet spiritual gifts, and rather that ye may [b]prophesy.
2 [c]For he that speaketh a strange [d]tongue, speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man heareth him: howbeit in the [e]spirit he speaketh secret things.
3 But he that prophesieth, speaketh unto men to [f]edifying, and to exhortation, and to comfort.
4 He that speaketh strange language, edifieth himself: but he that prophesieth, edifieth the [g]Church.
5 I would that ye all spake strange languages, but rather that ye prophesied: for greater is he that prophesieth, than he that speaketh diverse tongues, except he expound it, that the Church may receive edification.
6 And now, brethren, if I come unto you speaking diverse tongues, what shall I profit you, except I speak to you, either by revelation, or by knowledge, or by prophesying, or by doctrine?
7 [h]Moreover things without life which give a sound, whether it be a pipe or an harp, except they make a distinction in the sounds, how shall it be known what is piped or harped?
8 And also if the trumpet give an uncertain sound, who shall prepare himself to battle?
9 So likewise you, by the tongue, except ye utter words that have [i]signification, how shall it be understood what is spoken? for ye shall speak in the air.
10 [j]There are so many kinds of voices (as it cometh to pass) in the world, and none of them is dumb.
11 Except I know then the power of the voice, I shall be unto him that speaketh a Barbarian, and he that [k]speaketh, shall be a Barbarian unto me.
12 [l]Even so, forasmuch as ye covet spiritual gifts, seek that ye may excel unto the edifying of the Church.

1 For the kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain [a]householder, which went out at the dawning of the day to hire laborers into his vineyard.
2 And he [b]agreed with the laborers for a penny a day, and sent them into his vineyard.
3 And he went out about the third hour, and saw others standing idle in the marketplace,
4 And said unto them, Go ye also into my vineyard, and whatsoever is right, I will give you: and they went their way.
5 Again he went out about the sixth and ninth hour, and did likewise.
6 And he went about the [c]eleventh hour, and found others standing idle, and said unto them, Why stand ye here all the day idle?
7 They said unto him, Because no man hath hired us. He said to them, Go ye also into my vineyard, and whatsoever is right, that shall ye receive.
8 ¶ And when even was come, the master of the vineyard said unto his steward, Call the laborers, and give them their hire, beginning at the last, till thou come to the first.
9 And they which were hired about the eleventh hour, came and received every man a penny.
10 Now when the first came, they supposed that they should receive more, but they likewise received every man a penny.
11 And when they had received it, they murmured against the master of the house,
12 Saying, These last have wrought but one hour, and thou hast made them equal unto us, which have borne the burden and heat of the day.
13 And he answered one of them, saying, Friend, I do thee no wrong: didst thou not agree with me for a penny?
14 Take that which is thine own, and go thy way: I will give unto this last, as much as to thee.
15 Is it not lawful for me to do as I will with mine own? Is thine eye [d]evil, because I am good?
16 (A) So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many are called, but few chosen.
