Psalm 119:145-168

KOPH

145 I have [a]cried with my whole heart: hear me, O Lord, and I will keep thy statutes.

146 I called upon thee: save me, and I will keep thy testimonies.

147 I prevented the morning light, and cried: for I waited on thy word.

148 Mine eyes [b]prevent the night watches, to meditate in thy word.

149 Hear my voice according to thy loving kindness: O Lord, quicken me according to thy [c]judgment.

150 They draw near that follow after [d]malice, and are far from thy Law.

151 Thou art near, O Lord: for all thy commandments are true.

152 I have known long since [e]by thy testimonies, that thou hast established them forever.

RESH

153 Behold mine affliction, and deliver me: for I have not forgotten thy law.

154 Plead my cause, and deliver me: quicken me according unto thy [f]word.

155 Salvation is far from the wicked, because they seek not thy statutes.

156 Great art thy tender mercies, O Lord: quicken me according to thy [g]judgments.

157 My persecutors and mine oppressors are many: yet do I not swerve from thy testimonies.

158 I saw the transgressors and was [h]grieved, because they kept not thy word.

159 Consider, O Lord, how I [i]love thy precepts: quicken me according to thy loving kindness.

160 The [j]beginning of thy word is truth, and all the judgments of thy righteousness endure forever.

SCHIN

161 Princes have [k]persecuted me without cause: but mine heart stood in awe of thy words.

162 I rejoice at thy word, as one that findeth a great spoil.

163 I hate falsehood and abhor it, but thy Law do I love.

164 [l]Seven times a day do I praise thee, because of thy righteous judgments.

165 They that [m]love thy law, shall have great prosperity, and they shall have none hurt.

166 Lord, I have [n]trusted in thy salvation, and have done thy commandments.

167 My soul hath kept thy testimonies: for I love them exceedingly.

168 I have kept thy precepts and thy testimonies: [o]for all my ways are before thee.

Jeremiah 11:18-23

18 And the Lord hath taught me, and I know it, even then thou showedst me [a]their practices.

19 But I was like a lamb, or a bullock, that is brought to the slaughter, and I knew not that they had devised thus against me, saying, Let us [b]destroy the tree with the fruit thereof, and cut him out of the land of the living, that his name may be no more in memory,

20 But O Lord of hosts, that judgest righteously, and triest the reins and the heart, let me see thy [c]vengeance on them: for unto thee have I opened my cause.

21 The Lord therefore speaketh thus of the men of [d]Anathoth, (that seek thy life, and say, [e]Prophesy not in the name of the Lord, that thou die not by our hands.)

22 Thus therefore saith the Lord of hosts, Behold, I will visit them: the young men shall die by the sword: their sons and their daughters shall die by famine,

23 And none of them shall remain: for I will bring a plague upon the men of Anathoth, even the year of their visitation.

Matthew 10:16-22

16 (A)[a]Behold, I send you as [b]sheep in the midst of the wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and [c]innocent as doves.

17 But beware of [d]men, for they will deliver you up to the Councils, and will scourge you in their Synagogues.

18 And ye shall be brought to the governors and kings for my sake, in witness to them, and to the Gentiles.

19 (B)But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in that hour, what ye shall say.

20 For it is not ye that speak, but the spirit of your Father which speaketh in you.

21 And the (C)brother shall betray the brother to death, and the father the son, and the children shall rise against their parents, and shall cause them to die.

22 And ye shall be hated of all men for my Name: (D)but he that endureth to the end, he shall be saved.

Psalm 112

112 1 He praiseth the felicity of them that fear God, 10 and condemneth the cursed state of the contemners of God.

Praise ye the Lord.

Blessed is the man that [a]feareth the Lord, and delighteth greatly in his commandments.

His seed shall be mighty upon earth: the generation of the righteous shall be blessed.

[b]Riches and treasures shall be in his house, and his righteousness endureth forever.

Unto the [c]righteous ariseth light in darkness: he is merciful and full of compassion and righteous.

A good man is merciful, and [d]lendeth, and will measure his affairs by judgment.

Surely he shall never be moved: but the righteous shall be had in everlasting remembrance.

He will not be afraid of evil tidings: for his heart is fixed, and believeth in the Lord.

His heart is established: therefore he will not fear, until he see his desire upon his enemies.

He hath [e]distributed and given to the poor: his righteousness remaineth forever: his [f]horn shall be exalted with glory.

10 The wicked shall see it, and be angry: he shall gnash with his teeth, and [g]consume away: the desire of the wicked shall perish.

Psalm 125

125 1 He describeth the assurance of the faithful in their afflictions. 4 And desireth their wealth, 5 And the destruction of the wicked.

A song of degrees.

They that trust in the Lord, shall be as mount Zion, which cannot [a]be removed, but remaineth forever.

As the mountains are about Jerusalem: so is the Lord about his people from henceforth and forever.

For the [b]rod of the wicked shall not rest on the lot of the righteous, lest the righteous put forth their hand unto wickedness.

Do well, O Lord, unto those that be good and true in their hearts.

[c]But these that turn aside by their crooked ways, them shall the Lord lead with the workers of iniquity: but peace shall be upon Israel.

Hebrews 12:12-24

12 [a]Wherefore lift up your hands which [b]hang down, and your weak knees,

13 And make [c]straight steps unto your feet, lest that which is halting, be turned out of the way, but let it rather be healed.

14 (A)[d]Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without the which no man shall see the Lord.

15 [e]Take heed, that no man fall away from the grace of God: let no [f]root of bitterness spring up and trouble you, lest thereby many be defiled.

16 [g]Let there be no fornicator, or profane person as (B)Esau, which for one portion of meat sold his birthright.

17 (C)For ye know how that afterward also when he would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected: for he found no [h]place to repentance, though he sought that blessing with tears.

18 [i]For ye are not come unto the (D)mount that might be [j]touched, nor unto burning fire, nor to blackness and darkness, and tempest,

19 Neither unto the sound of a trumpet, and the voice of words, which they that heard it, excused themselves, (E)that the word should not be spoken to them any more.

20 (For they were not able to abide that which was commanded, (F)yea, though a beast touch the mountain, it shall be stoned, or thrust through with a dart:

21 And so terrible was the [k]sight which appeared, that Moses said, I fear and quake.)

22 But ye are come unto the mount Sion, and to the city of the living God, the celestial Jerusalem, and to the company of innumerable Angels.

23 And to the assembly and congregation of the first born, which are written in heaven, and to God the judge of all, and to the spirits of just and [l]perfect men,

24 And to Jesus the Mediator of the new Testament, and to the blood of sprinkling that speaketh better things than that of Abel.
