Psalm 118

118 Praise the LORD because He is good; for His mercy endures forever!

Let Israel now say, “His mercy endures forever!”

Let the House of Aaron now say, “His mercy endures forever!”

Let those who fear the LORD now say, “His mercy endures forever!”

I called upon the LORD in trouble; the LORD heard me and set me in a large place.

The LORD is with me. Therefore, I will not fear what man can do to me.

The LORD is with me among those who help me. Therefore, I shall see my desire upon my enemies.

It is better to trust in the LORD than to have confidence in man.

It is better to trust in the LORD than to have confidence in princes.

10 All nations have surrounded me; but in the Name of the LORD shall I destroy them.

11 They have surrounded me. Indeed, they have surrounded me; but in the Name of the LORD I shall destroy them.

12 They came around me like bees, but they were quenched as a fire of thorns; for in the Name of the LORD I shall destroy them.

13 You have thrust violently at me, so that I might fall; but the LORD has helped me.

14 The LORD is my strength and song; for He has been my deliverance.

15 The voice of joy and deliverance is in the tabernacles of the righteous. The right hand of the LORD has done valiantly.

16 The right hand of the LORD is exalted. The right hand of the LORD has done valiantly.

17 I shall not die, but live and declare the works of the LORD.

18 The LORD has chastened me severely; but He has not delivered me to death.

19 Open the gates of righteousness to me, so that I may go into them and praise the LORD.

20 This is the gate of the LORD. The righteous shall enter into it.

21 I will praise You; for You have heard me and have been my deliverance.

22 The Stone which the builders refused is the Head of the Corner.

23 This was the LORD’s doing. It is marvelous in our eyes,

24 This is the day the LORD has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it!

25 O LORD, I beg You, save now! O LORD, I beg You, give prosperity now!

26 Blessed is he who comes in the Name of the LORD! We have blessed you out of the House of the LORD.

27 The LORD is mighty and has given us light. Bind the sacrifice to the horns of the altar with cords.

28 You are my God, and I will praise You! You are my God; therefore, I will exalt You!

29 Praise the LORD because He is good; for His mercy endures forever.

Psalm 145

145 O my God and King, I will extol You, and will bless Your Name forever and ever.

I will bless You daily and praise Your Name forever and ever.

Great is the LORD, and most worthy to be praised. His greatness is incomprehensible.

Generation to generation shall praise Your works and declare Your power.

I will meditate on the beauty of Your glorious majesty and Your wonderful works.

And they shall speak of the power of Your awesome acts, and I will declare Your greatness.

They shall break out into the mention of Your great goodness and shall sing aloud of Your righteousness.

The LORD is gracious and full of compassion, slow to anger, and of great mercy.

The LORD is good to all, and His mercies are over all His works.

10 All Your works praise You, O LORD, and Your Saints bless You.

11 They show the glory of Your Kingdom, and speak of Your power,

12 to cause His power and the glorious renown of His Kingdom to be known to the sons of men.

13 Your Kingdom is an everlasting Kingdom, and Your dominion endures throughout all ages.

14 The LORD upholds all who fall and lifts up all who are ready to fall.

15 The eyes of all wait upon You, and You give them their food in due season.

16 You open Your hand and fulfill the desire of all living things.

17 The LORD is righteous in all His ways, and Holy in all His works.

18 The LORD is near to all who call upon Him, to all who call upon Him in truth.

19 He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him; He will also hear their cry and will save them.

20 The LORD preserves all those who love Him; but He will destroy the wicked.

21 My mouth shall speak the praise of the LORD; and all flesh shall bless His Holy Name forever and ever. Praise the LORD.

Judges 16:15-31

15 Again, she said to him, “How can you say, ‘I love you,’ when your heart is not with me? You have mocked me these three times and have not told me wherein your great strength lies.”

16 And because she pressed him with her words continually, and pestered him, his soul was pained to the death.

17 Therefore, he told her all his heart and said to her, “There has never come a razor upon my head; for I am a Nazirite to God from my mother’s womb. Therefore, if I am shaved, my strength will go from me and I shall be weak and be like all men.”

18 And when Delilah saw that he had told her all his heart, she sent, and called for the princes of the Philistines, saying, “Come up once again; for he has shown me all his heart.” Then the princes of the Philistines came up to her and brought the money in their hands.

19 And she made him sleep upon her knees. And she called a man and made him shave off the seven locks of his head. And she began to subdue him; for his strength had gone from him.

20 Then she said, “The Philistines are upon you, Samson!” And he awoke out of his sleep, and thought, “I will go out now, as at other times, and shake myself.” But he did not know that the LORD had departed from him.

21 Therefore, the Philistines took him and put out his eyes and brought him down to Gaza and bound him with chains. And he was a grinder in the prison house.

22 And the hair of his head began to grow again after it was shaved.

23 Then, the princes of the Philistines gathered themselves together to offer a great sacrifice to Dagon, their god, and to rejoice. For they said, “Our god has delivered Samson, our enemy, into our hands!”

24 Also when the people saw him, they praised their god. For they said, “Our god has delivered our enemy and the destroyer of our country, who has killed many of us, into our hands!”

25 And when their hearts were merry, they said, “Call Samson, so that he may perform for us!” So, they called Samson out of the prison house. And he was a laughingstock to them. And they set him between the pillars.

26 Then, Samson said to the servant who led him by the hand, “Lead me, so that I may touch the pillars that the house stands upon, and so that I may lean on them.”

27 Now, the house was full of men and women. And all the princes of the Philistines were there. Also, there were about three thousand men and women on the roof who watched while Samson performed.

28 Then, Samson called to the LORD, and said, “O Lord GOD! Think upon me, I pray! O God, I beg You, strengthen me just this one time, so that I may, at once, be avenged of the Philistines for my two eyes!”

29 And Samson took hold of the two middle pillars upon which the house stood and upon which it was held up, one on his right and the other on his left.

30 Then Samson said, “Let me lose my life with the Philistines!” And he flexed with all his might; and the house fell upon the princes and upon all the people who were inside. So, the dead which he killed at his death, were more than those whom he had killed in his life.

31 Then, his brethren and all the House of his father came down and took him and brought him up and buried him between Zorah and Eshtaol, in the sepulcher of Manoah, his father. Now, he had judged Israel for twenty years.

2 Corinthians 13:1-11

13 This is the third time that I come to you. In the mouths of two or three witnesses shall every word stand.

I told you before, and tell you now beforehand, as though I had been present a second time. So I write now - being absent from those who until now have sinned, and to all others - that if I come again, I will not spare anyone;

since you seek proof of Christ speaking in me, Who is not weak toward you, but is mighty in you.

For though He was crucified through His weakness, yet He lives through the power of God. And we, no doubt, are weak in Him. But we shall live with Him, through the power of God, toward you.

Test yourselves, whether you are in the faith. Examine yourselves. Do you not know yourselves how that Jesus Christ is in you, unless you are disqualified?

But I trust that you shall know that we are not disqualified.

Now I pray to God that you do no evil; not that we should seem approved, but that you should do that which is honest, though we may be disqualified.

For we cannot do anything against the truth, but for the truth.

For we are glad when we are weak, and you are strong. For this also we pray: even your perfecting.

10 Therefore, I write these things while being absent (so that when I am present, I should not use sharpness) according to the power which the Lord has given me to edification, and not to destruction.

11 Finally brothers, farewell. Be perfect. Be of good comfort. Be of one mind. Live in peace. And the God of love and peace shall be with you.

Mark 5:25-34

25 And there was a certain woman who had been diseased with an issue of blood for twelve years.

26 And she had seen many physicians and had spent all that she had. And it had availed her nothing. But rather she had become much worse.

27 When she had heard of Jesus, she joined the following crowd and touched His garment.

28 For she said, “If I may but touch His clothes, I shall be whole.”

29 And instantly, the course of her blood was dried up and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague.

30 And immediately, when Jesus knew in Himself the power that went out of Him, He turned and looked at the crowd, and said, “Who has touched My clothes?

31 And His disciples said to Him, “You Yourself see the crowd, and say, ‘Who touched Me?’”

32 And He looked around and saw her who had done it.

33 And the woman feared and trembled. For she knew what had been done in her. And she came and fell down before Him and told Him the whole truth.

34 And He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you whole. Go in peace and be whole of your plague.”
