Psalm 38

38 O LORD, do not rebuke me in Your anger, nor chastise me in Your wrath.

For Your arrows have pierced me deeply; and Your hand lies upon me.

Because of Your anger, there is nothing sound in my flesh; nor is there rest in my bones because of my sin.

For my iniquities have gone over my head; as a weighty burden, they are too heavy for me.

My wounds are putrefied, and corrupt, because of my foolishness.

I am bowed, and very troubled. I go mourning all day long.

For my core is full of burning; and there is nothing sound in my flesh.

I am weakened and very broken: I roar for the very grief of my heart.

LORD, I pour my whole desire before You; and my sighing is not hidden from You.

10 My heart pants. My strength fails me, and the light of my eyes. Even they are not my own.

11 My lovers and my friends stand aside from my plague; and my kinsmen stand afar off.

12 Also, those who seek after my life lay snares; and those who go about to do me evil talk wicked things and imagine deceit continually.

13 But I, as a deaf man, did not hear. I am as a dumb man who does not open his mouth.

14 Thus I am as a man who does not hear, and in whose mouth are no rebukes.

15 For on You, O LORD, I wait. You will hear, my LORD. My God.

16 For I said, “Hear me, lest they rejoice over me. When my foot slips, they extol themselves against me.”

17 Surely, I am ready to halt; and my sorrow is ever before me.

18 When I declare my pain, and am sorry for my sin,

19 then my enemies are alive and are mighty; and those who hate me wrongfully are many.

20 Also, those who reward evil for good are my adversaries, because I follow goodness.

21 Do not forsake me, O LORD. Do not be far from me, my God.

22 Hasten to help me, O my LORD. My Salvation. To the excellent musician, Jeduthun: A Psalm of David.

Psalm 119:25-48

DALETH

25 My soul clings to the dust, quicken me according to Your Word.

26 I have declared my ways, and You heard me. Teach me Your Statutes.

27 Make me to understand the way of Your Precepts, and I will meditate on Your wondrous works.

28 My soul melts for heaviness, raise me up according to Your Word.

29 Take from me the way of lying and grant me graciously Your Law.

30 I have chosen the way of truth and Your Judgments have I laid before me.

31 I have clung to Your Testimonies, O LORD, do not confound me.

32 I will run the way of Your Commandments, when You shall enlarge my heart.

HE

33 Teach me, O LORD, the way of Your Statutes, and I will keep it to the end.

34 Give me understanding and I will keep Your Law, yea, I will keep it with my whole heart.

35 Direct me in the path of Your Commandments, for therein is my delight.

36 Incline my heart to Your Testimonies, and not to covetousness.

37 Turn away my eyes from vanity and quicken me in Your way.

38 Establish Your Promise in Your servant, because he fears You.

39 Take away my rebuke, which I fear, for Your Judgments are good.

40 Behold, I desire Your Commandments, quicken me in Your righteousness.

VAU

41 And let Your lovingkindness come to me, O LORD, and Your salvation, according to Your Promise.

42 So shall I answer to my blasphemers, for I trust in Your Word.

43 And take not the Word of Truth utterly out of my mouth, for I await Your Judgments.

44 So shall I always keep Your Law forever and ever.

45 And I will walk in freedom, because I seek Your Precepts.

46 I will speak also of Your Testimonies before kings and will not be ashamed.

47 My delight will be in Your Commandments, which I have loved.

48 My hands, also, will I lift to Your Commandments, which I have loved; and I will meditate on Your Statutes.

Joshua 3:1-13

Then Joshua rose very early. And they left Shittim and came to the Jordan (he and all the children of Israel) and lodged there before they went over.

And after three days, the officers went throughout the camp,

and commanded the people, saying, “When you see the Ark of the Covenant of the LORD your God, and the priests of the Levites bearing it, you shall depart from your place and go after it.

“Still, there shall be a space between you and it, about two thousand cubits by measure. You shall not come near it, so that you may know the way by which you shall go. For you have not gone this way before.”

Now Joshua had said to the people, “Sanctify yourselves! For tomorrow the LORD will do wonders among you!

Also, Joshua spoke to the priests, saying, “Take up the Ark of the Covenant, and go over before the people.” So they took up the Ark of the Covenant, and went before the people.

Then the LORD said to Joshua, “This day I will begin to magnify you in the sight of all Israel, which shall know that as I was with Moses so I will be with you.

“You shall, therefore, command the priests who bear the Ark of the Covenant, saying, ‘When you have come to the brink of the waters of the Jordan, you shall stand still in the Jordan.’”

Then Joshua said to the children of Israel, “Come here and hear the Words of the LORD your God!”

10 And Joshua said, “By this you shall know that the living God is among you, and that He will certainly cast out before you the Canaanites and the Hittites and the Hivites and the Perizzites and the Girgashites and the Amorites and the Jebusites.

11 “Behold, the Ark of the Covenant of the LORD of all the world passes before you into the Jordan.

12 “Now, therefore, take from among you twelve men out of the tribes of Israel, a man out of every tribe.

13 “And as soon as the soles of the feet of the priests who bear the Ark of the LORD God, the Lord of all the world, shall stay in the waters of the Jordan, the waters of the Jordan shall be cut off. For the waters that come from above shall stand still in one heap.”

Romans 11:25-36

25 For I do not wish you to be ignorant of this secret, brothers (lest you be wise in your own eyes), that partial blindness has come to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in.

26 And so all Israel shall be saved. As it is written, “The Deliverer shall come out of Zion, and shall turn away the ungodliness from Jacob.

27 And this is My covenant to them, When I shall take away their sins.”

28 Concerning the Gospel, they are enemies for your sakes. But concerning the election, they are beloved for the Fathers’ sakes.

29 For the gifts and calling of God are irrevocable.

30 For even as you, in times past, had not believed God and yet have now obtained mercy through their unbelief,

31 so now have they not believed by the mercy shown to you, so that they may also obtain mercy.

32 For God has shut up all in unbelief, so that He might have mercy on all.

33 O the depth of the riches of both the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments, and His ways past finding out!

34 For who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who was His counselor?

35 Or who has given to Him first, that he shall be recompensed?

36 For of Him, and through Him, and for Him are all things. To Him be glory forever. Amen.

Matthew 25:31-46

31 “And when the Son of Man comes in His Glory and all the holy angels with Him, then He shall sit upon the throne of His Glory,

32 “And all nations shall be gathered before Him, and He shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.

33 “And He shall set the sheep on his right hand and the goats on the left.

34 “Then the King shall say to those on his right hand, ‘Come you blessed of My Father. Take the inheritance of the Kingdom, prepared for you from the foundation of the world.

35 “‘For I was hungry, and you gave Me food. I thirsted, and you gave Me drink. I was a stranger, and you took Me in to you.

36 “‘I was naked, and you clothed Me. I was sick, and you visited Me. I was in prison, and you came to Me.’

37 “Then the righteous shall answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You; or thirsty and give You drink?

38 “‘And when did we see You as a stranger and take You in to us; or naked and clothe You?

39 “‘Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’

40 “And the king shall answer, and say to them, ‘Truly I say to you, inasmuch as you have done it to one of the least of these, My brothers, you have done it to Me.’

41 “Then He shall say to those on the left hand, ‘Depart from Me you cursed, into everlasting fire, which is prepared for the devil and his angels.

42 “‘For I was hungry, and you gave Me no food. I thirsted, and you gave Me no drink.

43 “‘I was a stranger, and you did not take Me in to you. I was naked, and you did not clothe Me; sick, and in prison, and you did not visit Me.’

44 “Then they shall answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry; or thirsty, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister to You?’

45 “Then He shall answer them, and say, ‘Truly I say to you, inasmuch as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.’

46 “And these shall go into everlasting pain, and the righteous into life eternal.”
