Hebrews 2:10-18

For It Was Fitting For God To Perfect The Author of Salvation Through Sufferings

10 For it was fitting[a] for Him[b] for-the-sake-of Whom are all things and through Whom are all things, that in bringing many sons to glory He should perfect[c] the Author[d] of their salvation through sufferings. 11 For both the One making-holy and the ones being made holy are all from one Father[e], for which reason He is not ashamed to be calling them brothers, 12 saying “I will declare Your name to My brothers. I will sing-praise to You in the midst of the congregation” [Ps 22:22]; 13 and again [in Isa 8:17], “I will be trusting[f] in Him”; and again [in Isa 8:18], “Behold— I and the children whom God gave to Me”.

So The Son Took On Mortal Flesh And Died To Release Us From The Power of Death

14 Therefore, since the children have shared of blood and flesh, He Himself also similarly partook of the same things in order that through death He might do-away-with[g] the one having the power of death (that is, the devil), 15 and release these: all-who by the fear of death were subject-to[h] slavery through all their living. 16 For He surely does not take-hold-of [i] angels, but He takes hold of the seed of Abraham.

He Had To Become Like Us In All Things In Order To Become a Merciful High Priest

17 Hence, He had-to become-like His brothers in all things in order that He might become a merciful and faithful High Priest in the things pertaining to God, so as to make-an-offering-for-satisfaction[j] [of God’s wrath] as to the sins of the people. 18 For having Himself [k] been tempted[l] in what He has suffered, He is able to help the ones being tempted.

John 12:44-50

I Came To Save The World, And I Spoke The Father’s Words. My Words Are Eternal Life

44 And[a] Jesus cried-out and said “The one believing in Me is not believing in Me, but in the One having sent Me. 45 And the one seeing Me is seeing the One having sent Me. 46 I have come into the world as a light, so that everyone believing in Me should not remain in the darkness. 47 And if anyone hears My words and does not keep them, I do not judge him. For I did not come in order that I might judge the world, but in order that I might save the world. 48 The one rejecting Me and not receiving My words has that which judges him— the word which I spoke, that will judge him at the last day. 49 Because I did not speak out of Myself, but the Father having sent Me— He has given Me a commandment as to what I should say and what I should speak. 50 And I know that His commandment is eternal life. Therefore the things which I speak— just as the Father has told Me, so I speak”.
