Book of Common Prayer
For Those Being So Led By The Spirit Are The Adopted Children of God
14 For[a] all who are being led[b] by the Spirit of God, these are sons[c] of God. 15 For you did not receive a spirit[d] of slavery again leading-to fear, but you received a Spirit[e] of adoption by Whom we are crying-out “Abba[f]! Father!” 16 The Spirit Himself bears-witness-with our spirit that we are children of God!
This Means We Are Joint-Heirs With Christ, Sharing His Suffering And Glory
17 And if we are children, we are heirs also. We are heirs of God, and fellow-heirs of Christ, since[g] we are suffering-with Him in order that we may also be glorified-with Him. 18 For I consider that the sufferings of the present time are not worthy to the glory destined to be revealed to[h] us.
Creation Itself Groans To Share In Our Glory
19 For the eager-expectation of the creation is awaiting[i] the revelation of the sons of God. 20 For the creation was subjected to futility[j]— not willingly[k], but because of the One having subjected it— in hope[l] 21 that the creation itself also will be set-free from the slavery of [m] decay into the freedom of [n] the glory of the children of God.
