Write To Thyatira: You Are Tolerating a False Teacher. Repent From Her Works
18 “And to the angel of the church in Thyatira, write— These things says the Son of God, the One having His eyes like a flame of fire and His feet resembling brass[a]. 19 I know your works and[b] love and faith[c] and service and your endurance. And your last works are greater[d] than the first. 20 But I have against you that you are tolerating the woman Jezebel— the one calling herself a prophet. And she is teaching and misleading My slaves to commit-sexual-immorality and eat foods-sacrificed-to-idols. 21 And I gave her time in order that she might repent. And she is not willing to repent from her sexual-immorality. 22 Behold— I am throwing[e] her into a bed[f], and the ones committing-adultery with her into a great affliction, unless they repent from her works. 23 And I will kill her children[g] with a death[h]. And all the churches will know[i] that I am the One searching[j] minds and hearts, and I will give to you, to each one, according to your works. 24 But I say to you, to the rest in Thyatira— all-who are not holding this teaching, who did not know the deep things of Satan (as they say): I am not putting[k] another burden upon you. 25 However, hold-on-to what you have until whenever I come. 26 And the one overcoming and[l] the one keeping My works[m] until the end— I will give him authority over the nations. 27 And he will shepherd[n] them with an iron rod like clay vessels are broken-to-pieces, 28 as I also[o] have received from My Father. And I will give him the morning[p] star. 29 Let the one having an ear hear what the Spirit is saying to the churches.
27 Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites, because you are similar to burial-places having been whitewashed[a], which outside appear beautiful, but inside are full of bones of dead ones and all impurity! 28 So also you outside appear righteous to people— but inside you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness! 29 Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites, because you build the burial-places of the prophets and adorn[b] the tombs of the righteous ones, 30 and say, ‘If we had been in the days of our fathers, we would not have been their partners in the blood of the prophets’. 31 So then, you are testifying concerning yourselves that you are sons[c] of the ones having murdered the prophets. 32 And you— fill-up[d] the measure of your fathers! 33 Snakes, brood of vipers, how may you escape from the condemnation of [e] Gehenna?
God Will Avenge The Blood of All The Righteous On You. Your House Is Left Desolate
34 “For this reason behold, I am sending-forth prophets and wise ones and scribes[f] to you— some of them you will kill and crucify, and some of them you will whip in your synagogues and persecute from city to city— 35 so that all the righteous blood being shed on the earth[g] may come upon you[h]: from the blood of Abel[i] the righteous one, up to the blood of Zechariah, son of Berechiah, whom you murdered between the temple and the altar. 36 Truly I say to you, all these things will come upon this generation. 37 Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one killing the prophets and stoning the ones having been sent-forth to her. How often I wanted to gather together your children the way a hen gathers together her chicks under her wings, and you did not want it. 38 Behold— your house is being left to you desolate[j]. 39 For I say to you, you will by no means see Me[k] from now on until you say, ‘Blessed is the One coming in the name of the Lord’”.
