Version
Psalm 37

37 Do not fret because of wicked men, nor be envious of evildoers.

For they shall soon be cut down like grass and shall wither as the green herb.

Trust in the LORD and do good. Dwell in the land, and you shall assuredly be fed.

And delight yourself in the LORD; and He shall give you your heart’s desire.

Commit your way to the LORD, and trust in Him; and He shall make it so.

And He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your judgment as the noon day.

Wait patiently upon the LORD, and hope in Him. Do not fret over him who prospers in his way, nor over the man who executes wicked schemes.

Cease from anger and abandon wrath. Do not fret. It leads only to evil.

For evildoers shall be cut off; and those who wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the land.

10 Therefore, yet a little while and the wicked shall not appear; and you shall look for his place and he shall not be found.

11 But meek men shall possess the Earth and shall have their delight in the multitude of peace.

12 The wicked practices against the just and gnashes his teeth against him.

13 The LORD shall laugh him to scorn; for He sees that his day is coming.

14 The wicked have drawn their sword and have bent their bow, to cast down the poor and needy and to slay such as are of upright conversation.

15 Their sword shall enter into their own heart; and their bows shall be broken.

16 A small thing to the just man is better than great riches to the wicked and mighty.

17 For the arms of the wicked shall be broken; but the LORD upholds the just men.

18 The LORD knows the days of upright men; and their inheritance shall be perpetual.

19 They shall not be confounded in the perilous time; and in the days of famine they shall have enough.

20 But the wicked shall perish; and the enemies of the LORD shall be consumed as the fat of lambs. With the smoke, they shall vanish away.

21 The wicked borrows and does not pay again. But the righteous is merciful and gives.

22 For such as are blessed shall inherit the land. And those who are cursed by Him shall be cut off.

23 The paths of man are directed by the LORD; for He loves his way.

24 Though he falls, he shall not be cast off; for the LORD upholds his hand.

25 I have been young and am old. Yet I never saw the righteous forsaken, nor His seed begging bread.

26 He is ever merciful and lends, and His seed enjoys the blessing.

27 Flee from evil and do good, and dwell forever.

28 For the LORD loves judgment and does not forsake His saints. They shall be preserved forevermore. But the seed of the wicked shall be cut off.

29 The righteous men shall inherit the land, and dwell therein forever.

30 The mouth of the righteous will speak of wisdom; and his tongue will talk of judgment.

31 The Law of his God is in his heart; his steps shall not slide.

32 The wicked watched the righteous and sought to kill him.

33 The LORD will not leave him in His hand, nor condemn him when he is judged.

34 Wait on the LORD and keep His way; and He shall exalt you, so that you shall inherit the land. When the wicked men shall perish, you shall see.

35 I have seen the wicked strong and spreading himself like a green bay tree.

36 Yet he passed away; and lo, he was gone. And I sought him, but he could not be found.

37 Mark the upright man and behold the just; for the end of that man is peace.

38 But their transgressors shall be destroyed together. The end of the wicked shall be cut off.

39 But the salvation of the righteous men shall be from the LORD. He shall be their strength in the time of trouble.

40 For the LORD shall help them and deliver them. He shall deliver them from the wicked, and shall save them, because they trust in Him. A Psalm of David, for remembrance.

Isaiah 45:5-17

“I am the LORD, and there is no other. There is no God besides Me. I girded you, though you have not known Me,

“so that they may know from the rising of the Sun, and from the west, that there is none besides Me. I am the LORD, and there is no other.

“I form the light and create darkness. I make peace and create misery. I, the LORD, do all these things.

“You heavens send the dew from above, and let the clouds drop down righteousness. Let the Earth open, and let salvation and justice grow forth. Let it bring them forth together. I, the LORD, have created it.

“Woe be to him who strives with his Maker, the potsherd with the potsherds of the Earth. Shall the clay say to him who fashions it, ‘What do you make?’ or, ‘Your work, it has no hands’?

10 “Woe to him who says to his father, ‘What have you begotten?’ or to his mother, ‘What have you brought forth?’”

11 Thus says the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, and its Maker: “Ask Me of things to come concerning My sons, and command concerning the works of My Hands.

12 “I have made the Earth and created man upon it. I, whose Hands have spread out the heavens, I have even commanded all their army.

13 “I have raised him up in righteousness and I will direct all his ways. He shall build my city and he shall let my captives go, without price or reward,” says the LORD of Hosts.

14 Thus says the LORD: “The labor of Egypt, and the merchandise of Ethiopia, and of the Sabeans, men of stature, shall come to you. And they shall be yours. They shall follow you, shall go in chains. They shall fall down before you and make supplication to you, saying, ‘Surely God is in you, and there is no other god besides.’”

15 Truly, You, O God, hide Yourself, O God, the Savior of Israel.

16 All they shall be ashamed, and also confounded. Those who are the makers of images shall go to confusion together.

17 Israel shall be saved in the LORD, with an everlasting salvation. You shall not be ashamed or confounded, forever and ever.

Ephesians 5:15-33

15 Be mindful, therefore, that you walk carefully - not as fools, but as wise -

16 redeeming the season. For the days are evil.

17 Therefore, be not unwise. But, understand what the will of the Lord is.

18 And do not be drunk with wine (wherein is wastefulness). But, be filled with the Spirit,

19 speaking to yourselves in Psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord in your hearts,

20 giving thanks always, for all things, to God, even the Father, in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ,

21 submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.

22 Wives, submit yourselves to your husbands, as to the Lord.

23 For the husband is the wife’s head, even as Christ is the head of the Church. And the same is the Savior of the body.

24 But, as the Church is in subjection to Christ, so also let the wives be to their husbands in everything.

25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ loved the Church, and gave Himself for her;

26 so that He might sanctify her and cleanse her by the washing of water through the Word,

27 So that He might make her a glorious Church to Himself, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing. But that it should be holy and without blame.

28 So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife, loves himself.

29 For no one ever yet hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, even as the Lord does the Church.

30 For we are members of His body, of His flesh and of His bones.

31 For this cause shall a man leave father and mother and shall cling to his wife. And the two shall be one flesh.

32 This is a great secret. But I speak concerning Christ and concerning the Church.

33 Yet, let every one of you do the same. Let everyone love his wife, even as himself. And let the wife see that she fears her husband.

Mark 4:21-34

21 Also He said to them, “Does the candle come in to be put under a bushel, or under the bed, and not to be put in a candlestick?

22 “For there is nothing hidden that shall not be opened. Nor is there a secret that shall not come to light.

23 “If anyone has ears to hear, let him hear.”

24 And He said to them, “Pay attention to what you hear. With whatever measure you use, it shall be measured to you. And to you who hear shall more be given.

25 “For to him who has shall it be given. And from him that has not shall be taken away even that he has.”

26 Also He said, “So is the Kingdom of God: as if a man should cast seed in the ground

27 “and should sleep and rise up night and day. And the seed should spring and grow up, he not knowing how.

28 “For the Earth brings forth fruit from itself; first the blade, then the ears; after that, full corn in the ears.

29 “And as soon as the fruit shows itself, he puts in the sickle to it. Because the harvest has come.”

30 He said moreover, “To what shall we liken the Kingdom of God? Or, with what shall we compare it?

31 “It is like a grain of mustard seed; which, when it is sown in the earth, is the least of all seeds on the Earth.

32 “But after it is sown, it grows up and is greatest of all herbs and bears great branches. So that the birds of the heaven may build under the shadow of it.”

33 And with many such parables He preached the Word to them, as they were able to hear it.

34 And He spoke nothing to them without parables. But He expounded all things to His disciples separately.
