Book of Common Prayer
66 Rejoice in God, all the Earth!
2 Sing forth the Glory of His Name! Make His praise glorious!
3 Say to God, “How terrible are You in Your works! Through the greatness of Your power shall Your enemies be in subjection to You.
4 “All the world shall worship You and sing to You. Sing of Your Name!” Selah.
5 Come and behold the works of God. He is terrible in His doings toward the sons of men.
6 He has turned the sea into dry land. They passed through the river on foot. We rejoiced in Him there.
7 He rules the world with His power. His eyes behold the nations. The rebellious shall not exalt themselves. Selah.
8 Praise our God, you people, and make the voice of His praise heard.
9 He holds our souls in life and does not let our feet slip.
10 For You, O God, have tested us. You have refined us as silver is refined.
11 You have brought us into the net. You put pressure upon our loins.
12 You have caused men to ride over our heads. We went into fire and into water; but You brought us out into abundance.
13 I will go into Your House with burnt offerings and will pay You my vows
14 which my lips have promised; and my mouth has spoken in my affliction.
15 I will offer to You the burnt offerings of fat rams with incense. I will prepare bullocks and goats. Selah.
16 Come and hear, all you who fear God, and I will tell you what He has done to my soul.
17 I called to Him with my mouth and He was exalted with my tongue.
18 If I regard wickedness in my heart, the LORD will not hear me.
19 But God has heard me and considered the voice of my prayer.
20 Praised God, Who has turned away neither my prayer nor His mercy. To him who excels on Neginoth: A psalm or song
67 God be merciful to us and bless us. Cause His face to shine among us (Selah),
2 so that they may know Your way upon Earth and Your saving health among all nations.
3 Let the people praise You, O God. Let all the people praise You.
4 Let the people be glad and rejoice; for You shall judge the people righteously and govern the nations upon the Earth. Selah.
5 Let the people praise You, O God. Let all the people praise You.
6 Then shall the Earth bring forth her increase; and God, even our God, shall bless us.
7 God shall bless us, and all the ends of the Earth shall fear Him. To him who excels: A psalm or song of David
4 And He said to me: “Son of man, go, enter into the House of Israel, and declare to them My Words.
5 “For you are not sent to a people of an unknown tongue, or of a hard language, but to the House of Israel,
6 “not to many people of an unknown tongue, or of a hard language, whose words you cannot understand. Yet, if I would send you to them, they would obey you.
7 “But, the House of Israel will not obey you. For they will not obey Me. Yea, all the House of Israel are impudent and stiff-hearted.
8 “Behold, I have made your face strong against their faces, and your forehead hard against their foreheads.
9 “I have made your forehead as a sharp stone, harder than the flint. Therefore, do not fear them or be afraid of their look. For they are a rebellious House.”
10 Moreover, He said to me: “Son of man, receive in your heart all My Words that I speak to you, and hear them with your ears.
11 “And go, get to those who are led away captives, to the children of your people. And speak to them and tell them, ‘Thus says the LORD God:’ Surely, they will not hear. Indeed, nor will they cease.”
34 Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, “Truthfully, I perceive that God is no respecter of persons.
35 “But in every Nation, the one who fears Him, and works righteousness, is acceptable to Him.
36 “The Word - which God has sent to the children of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ, Who is Lord of all -
37 “you know the Word which came through all Judea, beginning in Galilee, after the Baptism which John preached;
38 “how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost, and with power - Who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil - for God was with Him.
39 “And we are witnesses of all things done by Him Whom they killed and hung on a tree (things in both the land of the Jews and in Jerusalem).
40 “God raised Him up the third day, and showed Him openly -
41 “not to all the people, but to the witnesses chosen by God beforehand - to those of us who ate and drank with Him after He arose from the dead.
42 “And He commanded us to preach to the people, and to testify that He has been ordained by God as a judge of quick and dead.
43 “To Him also give all the Prophets witness, that through His Name all who believe in Him shall receive forgiveness of sins.”
44 While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Ghost fell upon all those who heard the word.
118 Praise the LORD because He is good; for His mercy endures forever!
2 Let Israel now say, “His mercy endures forever!”
3 Let the House of Aaron now say, “His mercy endures forever!”
4 Let those who fear the LORD now say, “His mercy endures forever!”
5 I called upon the LORD in trouble; the LORD heard me and set me in a large place.
6 The LORD is with me. Therefore, I will not fear what man can do to me.
7 The LORD is with me among those who help me. Therefore, I shall see my desire upon my enemies.
8 It is better to trust in the LORD than to have confidence in man.
9 It is better to trust in the LORD than to have confidence in princes.
10 All nations have surrounded me; but in the Name of the LORD shall I destroy them.
11 They have surrounded me. Indeed, they have surrounded me; but in the Name of the LORD I shall destroy them.
12 They came around me like bees, but they were quenched as a fire of thorns; for in the Name of the LORD I shall destroy them.
13 You have thrust violently at me, so that I might fall; but the LORD has helped me.
14 The LORD is my strength and song; for He has been my deliverance.
15 The voice of joy and deliverance is in the tabernacles of the righteous. The right hand of the LORD has done valiantly.
16 The right hand of the LORD is exalted. The right hand of the LORD has done valiantly.
17 I shall not die, but live and declare the works of the LORD.
18 The LORD has chastened me severely; but He has not delivered me to death.
19 Open the gates of righteousness to me, so that I may go into them and praise the LORD.
20 This is the gate of the LORD. The righteous shall enter into it.
21 I will praise You; for You have heard me and have been my deliverance.
22 The Stone which the builders refused is the Head of the Corner.
23 This was the LORD’s doing. It is marvelous in our eyes,
24 This is the day the LORD has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it!
25 O LORD, I beg You, save now! O LORD, I beg You, give prosperity now!
26 Blessed is he who comes in the Name of the LORD! We have blessed you out of the House of the LORD.
27 The LORD is mighty and has given us light. Bind the sacrifice to the horns of the altar with cords.
28 You are my God, and I will praise You! You are my God; therefore, I will exalt You!
29 Praise the LORD because He is good; for His mercy endures forever.
15 So when they had eaten breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me more than these?” He said to him, “Yes, Lord, you know that I love You.” He said to him, “Feed My lambs.”
16 He said to him again the second time, “Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me?” He said to him, “Yes, Lord, you know that I love You.” He said to him, “Feed My sheep.”
17 He said to him a third time, “Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me?” Peter was sorry because He said to him a third time, ‘Do you love Me?’, and said to Him, “Lord, you know all things. You know that I love You.” Jesus said to him, “Feed My sheep.”
18 “Truly, truly I say to you, when you were young, you dressed yourself and walked where you would. But when you shall be old, you shall stretch forth your hands and another shall dress you and lead you where do not wish.”
19 And this He spoke to signify by what death He would glorify God. And when He had said this, He said to him, “Follow Me.”
20 Then Peter turned around and saw the disciple whom Jesus loved, following (who had also leaned on His breast at supper, and had said, ‘Lord, which is he who betrays You?’)
21 Therefore, when Peter saw him he said to Jesus, “Lord, what of this man?”
22 Jesus said to him, “If I wish him to remain until I come, what is that to you? You follow Me.”
