(B)Give Your attention to my prayer.

Lead me to (E)the rock that is higher than I.
3 For You have been a (F)refuge for me,
A (G)tower of strength against the enemy.
4 Let me [a](H)dwell in Your tent forever;
Let me (I)take refuge in the shelter of Your wings. Selah
5 For You have heard my (J)vows, God;
You have given me the inheritance of those who (K)fear Your name.
6 You will [b](L)prolong the king’s [c]life;
His years will be like generations.
7 He will [d]sit enthroned (M)before God forever;
Appoint (N)faithfulness and truth that they may watch over him.

62 (Q)My soul waits in silence for God alone;
From Him (R)comes my salvation.
2 He alone is my (S)rock and my salvation,

3 How long will you attack a man,
That you may murder him, all of you,
Like a (U)leaning wall, like a tottering fence?
4 They have planned only to thrust him down from his high position;
They (V)delight in falsehood;
They (W)bless with [f]their mouth,
But inwardly they curse. Selah
5 My soul, (X)wait in silence for God alone,
For my hope is from Him.
6 He alone is (Y)my rock and my salvation,
My refuge; I will not be shaken.

So the (D)wicked will perish before God.
3 But the (E)righteous will be joyful; they will rejoice before God;
Yes, they will rejoice with gladness.
4 Sing to God, (F)sing praises to His name;
[d](G)Exalt Him who (H)rides through the deserts,
Whose (I)name is [e]the Lord, and be jubilant before Him.
5 A (J)father of the fatherless and a (K)judge [f]for the widows,
Is God in His (L)holy dwelling.
6 God [g](M)makes a home for the lonely;
He (N)leads out the prisoners into prosperity,
Only (O)the rebellious live in parched lands.
7 God, when You (P)went forth before Your people,

The (S)heavens also dropped rain at the presence of God;

The (W)women who proclaim good news are a great army:

And she who remains at home will (Y)divide the spoils!”
13 [k]When you lie down (Z)among the sheepfolds,
You are like the wings of a dove covered with silver,
And its pinions with [l]glistening gold.
14 When the Almighty (AA)scattered the kings [m]there,
It was snowing in (AB)Zalmon.
15 (AC)The mountain of Bashan is a [n]mountain of God;
The mountain of Bashan is a mountain of many peaks.
16 Why do you look with envy, you mountains of many peaks,
At the mountain God has (AD)desired as His dwelling?
Indeed, (AE)the Lord will dwell there forever.
17 The (AF)chariots of God are [o]myriads, (AG)thousands upon thousands;
[p]The Lord is among them as at Sinai, in holiness.
18 You have (AH)ascended on high, You have (AI)led captive Your captives;
You have received gifts among people,
Even among the rebellious as well, that [q]the Lord God may dwell there.

26 (AV)Bless God in the congregations,
Even the Lord, you who are of the (AW)fountain of Israel.
27 (AX)Benjamin, the [y]youngest, is there, [z]ruling them,
The leaders of Judah in their company,
The leaders of (AY)Zebulun, the leaders of Naphtali.
28 [aa]Your God has (AZ)commanded your strength;
Show Yourself strong, God, You (BA)who acted [ab]in our behalf.
29 [ac]Because of Your temple at Jerusalem
(BB)Kings will bring gifts to You.
30 Rebuke the (BC)animals [ad]in the reeds,
The herd of (BD)bulls with the calves of the peoples,
Trampling the pieces of silver;
He has (BE)scattered the peoples who delight in war.

Behold, (BL)He [ah]speaks with His voice, a (BM)mighty voice.
34 (BN)Ascribe strength to God;
His majesty is over Israel,
And (BO)His strength is in the [ai]skies.

The God of Israel Himself (BQ)gives strength and power to the people.

Job Says What Can I Say?
40 Then the Lord said to Job,
God’s Power Shown in Creatures
41 “[a]Can you drag out [b](A)Leviathan with a fishhook,
And press down his tongue with a rope?
2 Can you (B)put a [c]rope in his nose,
And pierce his jaw with a [d]hook?
3 Will he make many pleas to you,
Or will he speak to you gentle words?
4 Will he make a covenant with you?
Will you take him as a servant forever?
5 Will you play with him as with a bird,
And tie him down for your young girls?
6 Will the [e]traders bargain for him?
Will they divide him among the merchants?
7 Can you fill his skin with harpoons,
Or his head with fishing spears?
8 Lay your hand on him.
Remember the battle; [f]you will not do it again!
9 [g]Behold, [h]your expectation is false;
Will [i]you be hurled down even at the sight of him?
10 No one is so reckless that he dares to (C)stir him;
Who then is he who opposes Me?

6 They passed through the [a](A)Phrygian and (B)Galatian region, after being forbidden by the Holy Spirit to speak the word in [b](C)Asia; 7 and after they came to (D)Mysia, they were trying to go into (E)Bithynia, and the (F)Spirit of Jesus did not allow them; 8 and passing by (G)Mysia, they went down to (H)Troas. 9 (I)And a vision appeared to Paul in the night: a man of (J)Macedonia was standing and pleading with him, and saying, “Come over to Macedonia and help us.” 10 When he had seen (K)the vision, (L)we immediately sought to leave for Macedonia, concluding that God had called us to (M)preach the gospel to them.
11 So after setting sail from (N)Troas, we ran (O)a straight course to Samothrace, and on the following day to Neapolis; 12 and from there to (P)Philippi, which is a leading city of the district of (Q)Macedonia, (R)a Roman colony; and we were spending some days in this city. 13 And on (S)the Sabbath day we went outside the gate to a riverside, where we were thinking that there was a place of prayer; and we sat down and began speaking to the women who had assembled.
First Convert in Europe
14 A woman named Lydia was listening; she was a seller of purple fabrics from the city of (T)Thyatira, and (U)a worshiper of God. [c]The Lord (V)opened her heart to respond to the things spoken by Paul. 15 Now when she and (W)her household had been baptized, she urged us, saying, “If you have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come into my house and stay.” And she prevailed upon us.
9 The (A)large crowd of the Jews then learned that He was there; and they came, not on account of Jesus only, but so that they might also see Lazarus, (B)whom He raised from the dead. 10 But the chief priests planned to put Lazarus to death also, 11 because (C)on account of him (D)many of the Jews were going away and were believing in Jesus.
The Triumphal Entry
12 On the next day, when (E)the large crowd that had come to (F)the feast heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem, 13 they took the branches of the palm trees and went out to meet Him, and began shouting, “(G)Hosanna! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord, indeed, the (H)King of Israel!” 14 Jesus, finding a young donkey, sat on it; as it is written: 15 “(I)Do not fear, daughter of Zion; behold, your King is coming, seated on a donkey’s colt.” 16 (J)These things His disciples did not understand at the first; but when Jesus (K)was glorified, then they remembered that these things were written of Him, and that they had done these things for Him. 17 So (L)the [a]people, who were with Him when He called Lazarus out of the tomb and raised him from the dead, continued to testify about Him. 18 (M)For this reason also the [b]people went to meet Him, (N)because they heard that He had performed this [c]sign. 19 So the Pharisees said [d]to one another, “You see that you are not accomplishing anything; look, the world has gone after Him!”
