¹ ¶ O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good because his mercy endures for ever.

² Let Israel now say that his mercy endures for ever.

³ Let the house of Aaron now say, that his mercy endures for ever.

⁴ Let those that fear the LORD say now, that his mercy is eternal.

⁵ From a tight place I called upon JAH; and JAH answered me and set me in a wide place.

⁶ The LORD is for me; I will not fear what man can do unto me.

⁷ The LORD takes my part with those that help me; therefore I shall see my desire upon those that hate me.

⁸ It is better to wait upon the LORD than to wait upon man.

⁹ It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in princes.

¹⁰ All the nations compassed me about; but in the name of the LORD I will cut them off.

¹¹ They compassed me about; yea, they laid hold of me; but in the name of the LORD I will cut them off.

¹² They compassed me about like bees; they were quenched as the fire of thorns; for in the name of the LORD I will cut them off.

¹³ Thou hast thrust at me with violence that I might fall, but the LORD helped me.

¹⁴ JAH is my strength and song and is become my saving health.

¹⁵ The voice of singing and saving health is in the tents of the righteous; the right hand of the LORD does valiantly.

¹⁶ The right hand of the LORD is exalted; the right hand of the LORD does valiantly.

¹⁷ I shall not die, but live and declare the works of JAH.

¹⁸ JAH has chastened me sore, but he has not given me over unto death.

¹⁹ ¶ Open unto me the gates of righteousness; I will go in through them; I will praise JAH.

²⁰ This gate is of the LORD; the righteous shall enter in.

²¹ I will praise thee; for thou hast heard me and art become my saving health.

²² The stone which the builders rejected is become the head of the corner.

²³ This is the LORD’s doing; it is marvellous in our eyes.

²⁴ This is the day which the LORD has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.

²⁵ Save now, I beseech thee, O LORD; O LORD, I beseech thee, cause us now to prosper.

²⁶ Blessed be he that comes in the name of the LORD; from the house of the LORD we bless you.

²⁷ God is the LORD, who has shined on us; bind the sacrifice with cords, even unto the horns of the altar.

²⁸ Thou art my God, and I will praise thee; thou art my God, I will exalt thee.

²⁹ O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good, for his mercy endures for ever.

¹³ As a man child whom his mother comforts, so will I comfort you; and ye shall be comforted in Jerusalem.

¹⁴ And ye shall see, your heart shall rejoice, and your bones shall flourish like grass; and the hand of the LORD shall be known toward his slaves and his indignation toward his enemies.

⁴ ¶ Whosoever commits sin transgresses also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.

⁵ And ye know that he appeared to take away our sins, and there is no sin in him.

⁶ Whosoever abides in him does not sin: whosoever sins has not seen him or known him.

⁷ Little children, let no one deceive you; he that does righteousness is righteous, even as he also is righteous.

⁸ He that commits sin is of the devil; for the devil sins from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God appeared, that he might undo the works of the devil.

⁹ Whosoever is born of God does not commit sin; for his seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

¹⁰ In this the sons of God are manifest, and the sons of the devil: whosoever does not righteousness and that loves not his brother is not of God.

⁷ Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I AM the door of the sheep.

⁸ All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not hear them.

⁹ I AM the door; whosoever enters in by me shall be saved and shall go in and out and find pasture.

¹⁰ The thief comes not but for to steal and to kill and to destroy the sheep; I am come that they might have life and that they might have it in abundance.

¹¹ I AM the good shepherd; the good shepherd gives his life for the sheep.

¹² But the hireling, who is not a shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, sees the wolf coming and leaves the sheep and flees; and the wolf catches them and scatters the sheep.

¹³ The hireling flees because he is a hireling, and the sheep do not belong to him.

¹⁴ I AM the good shepherd, and know my sheep and am known of mine.

¹⁵ As the Father knows me, even so I know the Father, and I lay down my soul for the sheep.

¹⁶ And I have other sheep which are not of this fold; it is expedient that I bring them also, and they shall hear my voice, and there shall be one fold and one shepherd.
