Version
Psalm 66-67

66 Make a joyful noise unto God, all ye lands!

Sing forth the honor of His name; make His praise glorious.

Say unto God, “How fearsome art Thou in Thy works! Through the greatness of Thy power shall Thine enemies submit themselves unto Thee.

All the earth shall worship Thee and shall sing unto Thee; they shall sing to Thy name.” Selah

Come and see the works of God; He is fearsome in His doings toward the children of men.

He turned the sea into dry land, they went through the flood on foot; there did we rejoice in Him.

He ruleth by His power for ever, His eyes behold the nations; let not the rebellious exalt themselves. Selah

O bless our God, ye people; and make the voice of His praise to be heard,

who holdeth our soul in life and alloweth not our feet to be moved.

10 For Thou, O God, hast tried us; Thou hast tried us as silver is tried.

11 Thou broughtest us into the net; Thou laidst affliction upon our loins.

12 Thou hast caused men to ride over our heads; we went through fire and through water, but Thou broughtest us out into a fruitful place.

13 I will go into Thy house with burnt offerings; I will pay Thee my vows,

14 which my lips have uttered and my mouth hath spoken when I was in trouble.

15 I will offer unto Thee burnt sacrifices of fatlings with the incense of rams; I will offer bullocks and goats. Selah

16 Come and hear, all ye that fear God, and I will declare what He hath done for my soul.

17 I cried unto Him with my mouth, and He was extolled with my tongue.

18 If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me.

19 But verily God hath heard me; He hath attended to the voice of my prayer.

20 Blessed be God, who hath not turned away my prayer, nor His mercy from me!

67 God be merciful unto us and bless us, and cause His face to shine upon us, Selah

that Thy way may be known upon earth, Thy saving health among all nations.

Let the people praise Thee, O God; let all the people praise Thee.

O let the nations be glad and sing for joy, for Thou shalt judge the people righteously and govern the nations upon the earth. Selah

Let the people praise Thee, O God; let all the people praise Thee.

Then shall the earth yield her increase; and God, even our own God, shall bless us.

God shall bless us, and all the ends of the earth shall fear Him.

Psalm 19

19 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament showeth His handiwork.

Day upon day uttereth speech, and night upon night showeth knowledge.

There is no speech nor language where their voice is not heard.

Their sound has gone forth through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath He set a tabernacle for the sun,

which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race.

His going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it; and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof.

The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul; the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple.

The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes.

The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring for ever; the judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether.

10 More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.

11 Moreover by them is Thy servant warned, and in keeping of them there is great reward.

12 Who can understand his errors? Cleanse Thou me from secret faults.

13 Keep back Thy servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me. Then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent of the great transgression.

14 Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Thy sight, O Lord, my Strength and my Redeemer.

Psalm 46

46 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

Therefore will we not fear though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea,

though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah

There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the Most High.

God is in the midst of her, she shall not be moved; God shall help her, and that right early.

The heathen raged, the kingdoms were moved; He uttered His voice, the earth melted.

The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah

Come, behold the works of the Lord, what desolations He hath made on the earth.

He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth; He breaketh the bow and cutteth the spear in sunder; He burneth the chariot with fire.

10 Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted on the earth.

11 The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah

2 Kings 17:1-18

17 In the twelfth year of Ahaz king of Judah, Hoshea the son of Elah began to reign in Samaria over Israel nine years.

And he did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord, but not as the kings of Israel who were before him.

Against him came up Shalmaneser king of Assyria; and Hoshea became his servant, and rendered him tribute.

And the king of Assyria found conspiracy in Hoshea; for he had sent messengers to So, king of Egypt, and brought no present to the king of Assyria, as he had done year by year. Therefore the king of Assyria shut him up and bound him in prison.

Then the king of Assyria came up throughout all the land, and went up to Samaria and besieged it three years.

In the ninth year of Hoshea, the king of Assyria took Samaria and carried Israel away into Assyria, and placed them in Halah and in Habor by the River of Gozan, and in the cities of the Medes.

For so it was that the children of Israel had sinned against the Lord their God, who had brought them up out of the land of Egypt from under the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt, and had feared other gods.

And they walked in the statutes of the heathen whom the Lord cast out from before the children of Israel, and of the kings of Israel, which they had made.

And the children of Israel did secretly those things that were not right against the Lord their God, and they built themselves high places in all their cities, from the tower of the watchmen to the fortified city.

10 And they set up for themselves images and Asherah poles in every high hill and under every green tree;

11 and there they burned incense in all the high places, as did the heathen whom the Lord carried away before them, and wrought wicked things to provoke the Lord to anger.

12 For they served idols, whereof the Lord had said unto them, “Ye shall not do this thing.”

13 Yet the Lord testified against Israel and against Judah by all the prophets and by all the seers, saying, “Turn ye from your evil ways, and keep My commandments and My statutes, according to all the law which I commanded your fathers, and which I sent to you by My servants the prophets.”

14 Notwithstanding they would not hear, but hardened their necks like the neck of their fathers, who did not believe in the Lord their God.

15 And they rejected His statutes and His covenant that He made with their fathers, and His testimonies which He testified against them; and they followed vanity and became vain, and went after the heathen who were round about them, concerning whom the Lord had charged them that they should not do like them.

16 And they left all the commandments of the Lord their God and made them molten images, even two calves, and made an Asherah pole, and worshiped all the host of heaven and served Baal.

17 And they caused their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire, and used divination and enchantments, and sold themselves to do evil in the sight of the Lord to provoke Him to anger.

18 Therefore the Lord was very angry with Israel, and removed them out of His sight. There was none left but the tribe of Judah only.

Acts 9:36-43

36 Now there was at Joppa a certain disciple named Tabitha (which interpreted is called Dorcas). This woman was full of good works and almsdeeds which she did.

37 And it came to pass in those days that she was sick and died; and when they had washed her, they laid her in an upper chamber.

38 And inasmuch as Lydda was nigh to Joppa and the disciples had heard that Peter was there, they sent unto him two men, desiring him that he should not delay to come to them.

39 Then Peter arose and went with them. And when he had come, they brought him into the upper chamber; and all the widows stood by him weeping, and showing the coats and garments which Dorcas made while she was with them.

40 But Peter put them all outside and kneeled down and prayed, and turning to the body, he said, “Tabitha, arise.” And she opened her eyes, and when she saw Peter she sat up.

41 And he gave her his hand and lifted her up; and calling in the saints and widows, he presented her alive.

42 And it became known throughout all Joppa, and many believed in the Lord.

43 And it came to pass that he tarried many days in Joppa with one Simon, a tanner.

Luke 5:1-11

And it came to pass that, as the people pressed upon Him to hear the Word of God, He stood by the Lake of Gennesaret

and saw two boats standing by the lake, but the fishermen were gone out of them and were washing their nets.

And He entered into one of the boats, which was Simon’s, and asked him to put out a little from the land. And He sat down and taught the people from the boat.

Now when He was through speaking, He said unto Simon, “Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draft.”

And Simon answering said unto Him, “Master, we have toiled all the night and have taken nothing. Nevertheless, at Thy word I will let down the net.”

And when they had done this, they enclosed a great multitude of fishes, and their net began to break.

And they beckoned unto their partners, who were in the other boat, that they should come and help them. And they came and filled both the boats, so that they began to sink.

When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus’ knees, saying, “Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, O Lord.”

For he was astonished, and all those who were with him, at the draft of the fishes which they had taken;

10 and so also were James and John, the sons of Zebedee, who were partners with Simon. And Jesus said unto Simon, “Fear not. From henceforth thou shalt catch men.”

11 And when they had brought their boats to land, they forsook all and followed Him.
