¹⁵ I speak as to wise ones; you judge what I say: ¹⁶ the cup of blessing which we bless, is it not a sharing^[a] of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not a sharing of the body of Christ? ¹⁷ Because there is one bread, we the many are one body^[b], for we all partake from the one bread. ¹⁸ Look-at Israel according to the flesh— are not the ones eating the sacrifices sharers of the altar? ¹⁹ Therefore what am I saying? That^[c] food-sacrificed-to-an-idol is anything, or that an idol is anything? ²⁰ On the contrary, that the things which they are sacrificing, they are sacrificing to demons, and not^[d] to God. And I do not want you to be sharers of the demons. ²¹ You cannot drink the Lord’s cup and the demons’ cup. You cannot^[e] partake of the Lord’s table and the demons’ table. ²² Or do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? We are not stronger than He, are we?

So As To The Eating of Meat, Do What Is Beneficial And Edifying To Those Eating

²³ All things are lawful, but not all things are beneficial. All things are lawful, but not all things build-up. ²⁴ Let no one be seeking his own thing, but the thing of the other.

If Your Brother Sins Against You, Seek To Restore Him

¹⁵ “But if your brother sins against you^[a], go, expose^[b] him between you and him alone. If he listens-to you, you gained^[c] your brother. ¹⁶ But if he does not listen, take-along with you one or two more in order that every word may be established based-on the mouth of two or three witnesses. And if he refuses-to-listen-to them, tell it to the church. ¹⁷ And if he even refuses^[d] to listen to the church, let him be to you just like the Gentile^[e] and the tax-collector^[f]. ¹⁸ Truly I say to you, whatever you^[g] bind^[h] on earth will have been bound^[i] in heaven. And whatever you loose on earth will have been loosed in heaven. ¹⁹ Again^[j], truly I say to you that if two of you on earth agree concerning any matter which they may ask, it will be done for them by My Father in the heavens. ²⁰ For^[k] where two or three have been gathered-together in^[l] My name, I am there in the midst of them”.
