21st Century King James Version (KJ21)
Version
Psalm 75-76

75 Unto Thee, O God, do we give thanks, unto Thee do we give thanks. For that Thy name is near, Thy wondrous works declare.

When I shall receive the congregation, I will judge uprightly.

When the earth and all the inhabitants thereof are dissolved, I bear up the pillars of it. Selah

I said unto the fools, “Deal not foolishly,” and to the wicked, “Lift not up the horn.

Lift not up your horn on high; speak not with a stiff neck.”

For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south,

but God is the Judge: He putteth down one, and setteth up another.

For in the hand of the Lord there is a cup, and the wine is red and fully mixed; and He poureth out the same. But as for the dregs thereof, all the wicked of the earth shall wring them out and drink them.

But I will declare it for ever; I will sing praises to the God of Jacob.

10 All the horns of the wicked will I also cut off, but the horns of the righteous shall be exalted.

76 In Judah is God known; His name is great in Israel.

In Salem also is His tabernacle, and His dwelling place in Zion.

There broke He the arrows of the bow, the shield and the sword and the battle. Selah

Thou art more glorious and excellent than the mountains of prey.

The stouthearted are despoiled; they have slept their sleep, and none of the men of might have found their hands.

At Thy rebuke, O God of Jacob, both the chariot and horse are cast into a dead sleep.

Thou, Thou alone, art to be feared; and who may stand in Thy sight when once Thou art angry?

Thou didst cause judgment to be heard from heaven; the earth feared and was still,

when God arose to judgment, to save all the meek of the earth. Selah

10 Surely the wrath of man shall praise Thee; the remainder of wrath shalt Thou restrain.

11 Make vows, and pay them unto the Lord your God; let all that be round about Him bring presents unto Him that ought to be feared.

12 He shall cut off the spirit of princes; He is fearsome to the kings of the earth.

Psalm 23

23 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

He maketh me to lie down in green pastures; He leadeth me beside the still waters.

He restoreth my soul; He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for Thou art with me; Thy rod and Thy staff, they comfort me.

Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies; Thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

Psalm 27

27 The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell.

Though an army should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear; though war should rise against me, even in this will I be confident.

One thing have I desired of the Lord; that will I seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord and to inquire in His temple.

For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion; in the secret places of His tabernacle shall He hide me; He shall set me upon a rock.

And then shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me; therefore I will offer in His tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the Lord.

Hear, O Lord, when I cry with my voice! Have mercy also upon me and answer me.

When Thou saidst, “Seek ye My face,” my heart said unto Thee, “Thy face, Lord, will I seek.”

Hide not Thy face far from me; put not Thy servant away in anger. Thou hast been my help; leave me not, neither forsake me, O God of my salvation.

10 When my father and my mother forsake me, then the Lord will take me up.

11 Teach me Thy way, O Lord, and lead me in a level path because of mine enemies.

12 Deliver me not over unto the will of mine enemies; for false witnesses have risen up against me, and such as breathe out cruelty.

13 I would have fainted, unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.

14 Wait on the Lord; be of good courage, and He shall strengthen thine heart. Wait, I say, on the Lord!

Judges 5:19-31

19 “The kings came and fought; then fought the kings of Canaan in Taanach by the waters of Megiddo; they took no gain of money.

20 They fought from heaven; the stars in their courses fought against Sisera.

21 The river of Kishon swept them away, that ancient river, the river Kishon. O my soul, thou hast trodden down strength!

22 Then were the horsehoofs broken by the means of the prancings, the prancings of their mighty ones.

23 “‘Curse ye Meroz,’ said the angel of the Lord; ‘curse ye bitterly the inhabitants thereof, because they came not to the help of the Lord, to the help of the Lord against the mighty.’

24 “Blessed above women shall Jael the wife of Heber the Kenite be; blessed shall she be above women in the tent.

25 He asked water, and she gave him milk; she brought forth butter in a lordly dish.

26 She put her hand to the nail, and her right hand to the workmen’s hammer. And with the hammer she smote Sisera; she smote off his head, when she had pierced and stricken through his temples.

27 At her feet he bowed, he fell, he lay down; at her feet he bowed, he fell; where he bowed, there he fell down dead.

28 “The mother of Sisera looked out at a window, and cried through the lattice: ‘Why is his chariot so long in coming? Why tarry the wheels of his chariots?’

29 Her wise ladies answered her, yea, she returned answer to herself:

30 ‘Have they not sped? Have they not divided the prey: to every man a damsel or two, to Sisera a prey of divers colors, a prey of divers colors of needlework, of divers colors of needlework on both sides, meet for the necks of them that take the spoil?’

31 “So let all Thine enemies perish, O Lord! But let them that love Him be as the sun when he goeth forth in his might.” And the land had rest forty years.

Acts 2:22-36

22 “Ye men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a Man approved of God among you by miracles, wonders, and signs, which God did through Him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know —

23 Him, being delivered by the determinate will and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken and by wicked hands have crucified and slain.

24 But God hath raised Him up, having loosed the pains of death, because it was not possible that He should be held by it.

25 For David speaketh concerning Him: ‘I beheld the Lord always before my face, for He is on my right hand, that I should not be moved.

26 Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad; moreover also my flesh shall rest in hope,

27 because Thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt Thou suffer Thine Holy One to see corruption.

28 Thou hast made known to me the ways of life; Thou shalt make me full of joy with Thy countenance.’

29 “Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulcher is with us unto this day.

30 Therefore, being a prophet and knowing that God had sworn an oath to him that from the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh He would raise up Christ to sit on his throne,

31 David, foreseeing this, spoke concerning the resurrection of Christ that ‘His soul was not left in hell, neither did His flesh see corruption.’

32 This Jesus hath God raised up, of which we are all witnesses.

33 Therefore, being exalted by the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, He hath shed forth this which ye now see and hear.

34 For David is not ascended into the heavens, but he himself saith, ‘The Lord said unto my Lord, “Sit Thou on My right hand

35 until I make Thy foes Thy footstool.”’

36 “Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.”

Matthew 28:11-20

11 Now when they were going, behold, some of the guards came into the city and reported unto the chief priests all the things that were done.

12 And when they were assembled with the elders and had taken counsel, they gave a large sum of money unto the soldiers,

13 saying, “Say ye, ‘His disciples came by night and stole him away while we slept.’

14 And if this come to the governor’s ears, we will persuade him and secure you.”

15 So they took the money, and did as they were taught; and this account is commonly reported among the Jews until this day.

16 Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee onto a mountain where Jesus had appointed them.

17 And when they saw Him, they worshiped Him; but some doubted.

18 And Jesus came and spoke unto them, saying, “All power is given unto Me in Heaven and on earth.

19 Go ye therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost,

20 teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you. And lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.” Amen.
