21st Century King James Version (KJ21)
Version
Psalm 1-4

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful;

but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on His law doth he meditate day and night.

And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither, and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

The ungodly are not so, but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.

Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.

For the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous, but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

Why do the heathen rage, and the people devise a vain thing?

The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord and against His Anointed, saying,

“Let us break Their bonds asunder, and cast away Their cords from us.”

He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh; the Lord shall hold them in derision.

Then shall He speak unto them in His wrath, and vex them in His sore displeasure:

“Yet have I set My King upon My holy hill of Zion.”

“I will declare the decree: The Lord hath said unto Me, ‘Thou art My Son; this day have I begotten Thee.

Ask of Me, and I shall give Thee the heathen for Thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for Thy possession.

Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; Thou shalt dash them to pieces like a potter’s vessel.’”

10 Be wise now therefore, O ye kings; be instructed, ye judges of the earth.

11 Serve the Lord with fear and rejoice with trembling.

12 Kiss the Son, lest He be angry and ye perish from the way, when His wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in Him.

Lord, how they have increased that trouble me! Many are they that rise up against me!

Many there be that say of my soul, “There is no help for him in God.” Selah

But Thou, O Lord, art a shield for me, my glory and the lifter up of mine head.

I cried unto the Lord with my voice, and He heard me from His holy hill. Selah

I laid me down and slept; I awaked, for the Lord sustained me.

I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people that have set themselves against me round about.

Arise, O Lord! Save me, O my God! For Thou hast smitten all mine enemies upon the cheekbone; Thou hast broken the teeth of the ungodly.

Salvation belongeth unto the Lord. Thy blessing is upon Thy people. Selah

Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness! Thou hast set me at large when I was in distress; have mercy upon me, and hear my prayer.

O ye sons of men, how long will ye turn my glory into shame? How long will ye love vanity and seek after lies? Selah

But know that the Lord hath set apart him that is godly for Himself; the Lord will hear when I call unto Him.

Stand in awe, and sin not; commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah

Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and put your trust in the Lord.

There are many that say, “Who will show us any good?” Lord, lift Thou up the light of Thy countenance upon us.

Thou hast put gladness in my heart, more than in the time when their corn and wine increased.

I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep; for Thou Lord only, makest me dwell in safety.

Psalm 7

O Lord my God, in Thee do I put my trust. Save me from all them that persecute me; and deliver me,

lest they tear my soul like a lion, rending it in pieces while there is none to deliver.

O Lord my God, if I have done this, if there be iniquity on my hands,

if I have rewarded evil unto him that was at peace with me (yea, I have delivered him that without cause is mine enemy),

let the enemy persecute my soul and take it; yea, let him tread down my life upon the earth, and lay mine honor in the dust. Selah

Arise, O Lord, in Thine anger; lift up Thyself against the rage of mine enemies, and awaken for me the judgment that Thou hast commanded.

So shall the congregation of the people compass Thee about; for their sakes, therefore, return Thou on high.

The Lord shall judge the people: Judge me, O Lord, according to my righteousness and according to mine integrity that is in me.

O let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end, but establish the just; for the righteous God trieth the hearts and reins.

10 My defense is of God, who saveth the upright in heart.

11 God judgeth the righteous, and God is angry with the wicked every day.

12 If he turn not, He will whet His sword; He hath bent His bow and made it ready.

13 He hath also prepared for Him the instruments of death; He ordaineth His arrows against the persecutors.

14 Behold, the wicked travaileth with iniquity, and hath conceived mischief and brought forth falsehood.

15 He made a pit and dug it, and has fallen into the ditch which he hath made.

16 His mischief shall return upon his own head; and his violent dealings shall come down upon his own pate.

17 I will praise the Lord according to His righteousness, and will sing praise to the name of the Lord Most High.

Exodus 14:21-31

21 And Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the Lord caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided.

22 And the children of Israel went into the midst of the sea upon the dry ground, and the waters were a wall unto them on their right hand and on their left.

23 And the Egyptians pursued, and went in after them to the midst of the sea, even all Pharaoh’s horses, his chariots, and his horsemen.

24 And it came to pass that in the morning watch the Lord looked unto the host of the Egyptians through the pillar of fire and of the cloud, and troubled the host of the Egyptians.

25 And He took off their chariot wheels, that they drove them heavily, so that the Egyptians said, “Let us flee from the face of Israel, for the Lord fighteth for them against the Egyptians.”

26 And the Lord said unto Moses, “Stretch out thine hand over the sea, that the waters may come again upon the Egyptians, upon their chariots, and upon their horsemen.”

27 And Moses stretched forth his hand over the sea, and the sea returned to his strength when the morning appeared. And the Egyptians fled against it, and the Lord overthrew the Egyptians in the midst of the sea.

28 And the waters returned, and covered the chariots and the horsemen and all the host of Pharaoh that came into the sea after them. There remained not so much as one of them.

29 But the children of Israel walked upon dry land in the midst of the sea, and the waters were a wall unto them on their right hand and on their left.

30 Thus the Lord saved Israel that day out of the hand of the Egyptians, and Israel saw the Egyptians dead upon the seashore.

31 And Israel saw that great work which the Lord did upon the Egyptians; and the people feared the Lord, and believed the Lord and His servant Moses.

1 Peter 1:1-12

Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, To the strangers scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia,

elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you and peace be multiplied.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a living hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that fadeth not away, reserved in Heaven for you,

who are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

In this ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations,

that the trial of your faith (being much more precious than gold that perisheth, though it be tested with fire) might be found unto praise and honor and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ,

whom having not seen, ye love. In Him, though now ye see Him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory,

receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.

10 Of this salvation the prophets have inquired and searched diligently, and have prophesied of the grace that should come unto you,

11 searching what, or what manner of time, the Spirit of Christ who was in them had signified when He testified beforehand of the sufferings of Christ and the glory that should follow.

12 Unto them it was revealed that they ministered, not unto themselves, but unto us the things which are now reported unto you by those who have preached the Gospel unto you, with the Holy Ghost sent down from Heaven — things which the angels desire to look into.

John 14:1-17

14 “Let not your heart be troubled. Ye believe in God; believe also in Me.

In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you unto Myself, that where I am, there ye may be also.

And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.”

Thomas said unto Him, “Lord, we know not whither Thou goest; and how can we know the way?”

Jesus said unto him, “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life; no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me.

If ye had known Me, ye should have known My Father also; and from henceforth ye know Him, and have seen Him.”

Philip said unto Him, “Lord, show us the Father, and it sufficeth us.”

Jesus said unto him, “Have I been so long a time with you, and yet hast thou not known Me, Philip? He that hath seen Me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, ‘Show us the Father’?

10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak unto you I speak not of Myself; but the Father that dwelleth in Me, He doeth the works.

11 Believe Me that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me; or else believe Me for the very works’ sake.

12 Verily, verily I say unto you, he that believeth in Me, the works that I do he shall do also; and greater works than these shall he do, because I go unto My Father.

13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in My name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

14 If ye shall ask anything in My name, I will do it.

15 “If ye love Me, keep My commandments.

16 And I will pray the Father, and He shall give you another Comforter, that He may abide with you for ever”

17 even the Spirit of Truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth Him not, neither knoweth Him. But ye know Him, for He dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
