21st Century King James Version (KJ21)
Version
Psalm 45

45 My heart is composing a goodly matter; I speak of the verses which I have made concerning the King; my tongue is the pen of a ready writer.

Thou art fairer than the children of men; grace is poured into Thy lips; therefore God hath blessed Thee for ever.

Gird Thy sword upon Thy thigh, O most Mighty, with Thy glory and Thy majesty.

And in Thy majesty ride prosperously because of truth and meekness and righteousness; and Thy right hand shall teach Thee fearsome things.

Thine arrows are sharp in the heart of the King’s enemies, whereby the people fall under Thee.

Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever; the scepter of Thy Kingdom is a righteous scepter.

Thou lovest righteousness and hatest wickedness; therefore God, Thy God, hath anointed Thee with the oil of gladness above Thy fellows.

All Thy garments smell of myrrh and aloes and cassia, out of the ivory palaces whereby they have made Thee glad.

Kings’ daughters were among Thy honorable women; at Thy right hand stood the queen in gold of Ophir.

10 Hearken, O daughter, and consider and incline thine ear; forget also thine own people and thy father’s house.

11 So shall the King greatly desire thy beauty, for He is thy Lord; worship thou Him.

12 And the daughter of Tyre shall be there with a gift; even the rich among the people shall entreat thy favor.

13 The King’s daughter is all glorious within; her clothing is of wrought gold.

14 She shall be brought unto the King in raiment of needlework; the virgins, her companions that follow her, shall be brought unto Thee.

15 With gladness and rejoicing shall they be brought; they shall enter into the King’s palace.

16 Instead of Thy fathers shall be Thy children, whom Thou mayest make princes in all the earth.

17 I will make Thy name to be remembered in all generations; therefore shall the people praise Thee for ever and ever.

Psalm 47-48

47 O clap your hands, all ye people! Shout unto God with the voice of triumph!

For the Lord Most High is to be feared; He is a great King over all the earth.

He shall subdue the people under us, and the nations under our feet.

He shall choose our inheritance for us, the excellency of Jacob whom He loved. Selah

God has gone up with a shout, the Lord with the sound of a trumpet.

Sing praises to God, sing praises! Sing praises unto our King, sing praises!

For God is the King of all the earth; sing ye praises with understanding.

God reigneth over the heathen; God sitteth upon the throne of His holiness.

The princes of the people are gathered together, even the people of the God of Abraham. For the shields of the earth belong unto God; He is greatly exalted.

48 Great is the Lord and greatly to be praised in the city of our God, on the mountain of His holiness.

Beautiful in situation, the joy of the whole earth is Mount Zion; on the sides of the north, the city of the great King.

God is known in her palaces as a refuge.

For lo, the kings were assembled, they passed by together.

They saw it and so they marveled; they were troubled and hastened away.

Fear took hold upon them there, and pain as of a woman in travail;

Thou breakest the ships of Tarshish with an east wind.

As we have heard, so have we seen in the city of the Lord of hosts, in the city of our God: God will establish it for ever. Selah

We have thought of Thy lovingkindness, O God, in the midst of Thy temple.

10 According to Thy name, O God, so is Thy praise unto the ends of the earth; Thy right hand is full of righteousness.

11 Let Mount Zion rejoice! Let the daughters of Judah be glad because of Thy judgments!

12 Walk about Zion and go round about her, count the towers thereof;

13 mark ye well her bulwarks, consider her palaces, that ye may tell it to the generation that follows.

14 For this God is our God for ever and ever; He will be our guide even unto death.

Zechariah 2

I lifted up mine eyes again and looked, and behold, a man with a measuring line in his hand.

Then said I, “Whither goest thou?” And he said unto me, “To measure Jerusalem to see what is the breadth thereof and what is the length thereof.”

And behold, the angel who talked with me went forth; and another angel went out to meet him

and said unto him, “Run, speak to this young man, saying, ‘Jerusalem shall be inhabited as towns without walls, because of the multitude of men and cattle therein.

For I,’ saith the Lord, ‘will be unto her a wall of fire round about, and will be the glory in the midst of her.’”

“Ho! Ho! Come forth, and flee from the land of the north,” saith the Lord; “for I have spread you abroad as the four winds of the heaven,” saith the Lord.

“Deliver thyself, O Zion, ye that dwellest with the daughter of Babylon.”

For thus saith the Lord of hosts: “After the glory hath He sent me unto the nations which despoiled you, for he that toucheth you toucheth the apple of His eye.

For behold, I will shake Mine hand upon them, and they shall be a spoil to their servants. And ye shall know that the Lord of hosts hath sent me.

10 “Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion; for lo, I come, and I will dwell in the midst of thee,” saith the Lord.

11 “And many nations shall be joined to the Lord in that day, and shall be My people; and I will dwell in the midst of thee. And thou shalt know that the Lord of hosts hath sent me unto thee.

12 And the Lord shall inherit Judah as His portion in the holy land, and shall choose Jerusalem again.”

13 Be silent, O all flesh, before the Lord, for He is raised up out of His holy habitation.

Revelation 3:14-22

14 “And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write: ‘These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God:

15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot; I would thou wert cold or hot.

16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spew thee out of My mouth.

17 Because thou sayest, “I am rich and increased with goods and have need of nothing,” and knowest not that thou art wretched and miserable, and poor and blind and naked,

18 I counsel thee to buy from Me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich, and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed and that the shame of thy nakedness may not appear, and anoint thine eyes with eye salve, that thou mayest see.

19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.

20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If any man hear My voice and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with Me.

21 To him that overcometh, will I grant to sit with Me on My throne, even as I also overcame and am set down with My Father on His throne.

22 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches!’”

Matthew 24:32-44

32 “Now learn a parable of the fig tree: When his branch is yet tender and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh.

33 So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.

34 Verily I say unto you, this generation shall not pass till all these things be fulfilled.

35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but My Words shall not pass away.

36 But of that day and hour, knoweth no man, no, not the angels of Heaven, but My Father only.

37 But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of Man be.

38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark

39 and knew not until the flood came and took them all away, so shall also the coming of the Son of Man be.

40 Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken and the other left.

41 Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken and the other left.

42 “Watch therefore, for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.

43 But know this, that if the master of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched and would not have suffered his house to be broken into.

44 Therefore be ye also ready, for in such an hour as ye think not, the Son of Man cometh.
