21st Century King James Version (KJ21)
Version
Psalm 24

24 The earth is the Lord’S, and the fullness thereof, the world and they that dwell therein.

For He hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods.

Who shall ascend onto the hill of the Lord? Or who shall stand in His Holy Place?

He that hath clean hands and a pure heart, who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.

He shall receive the blessing from the Lord, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.

Such is the generation of them that seek Him, that seek Thy face, O God of Jacob. Selah

Lift up your heads, O ye gates! And be ye lifted up, ye everlasting doors! And the King of glory shall come in.

Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle.

Lift up your heads, O ye gates! Even lift them up, ye everlasting doors! And the King of glory shall come in.

10 Who is this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, He is the King of glory. Selah

Psalm 29

29 Give unto the Lord, O ye mighty; give unto the Lord glory and strength.

Give unto the Lord the glory due unto His name; worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness.

The voice of the Lord is upon the waters; the God of glory thundereth; the Lord is upon many waters.

The voice of the Lord is powerful; the voice of the Lord is full of majesty.

The voice of the Lord breaketh the cedars; yea, the Lord breaketh the cedars of Lebanon.

He maketh them also to skip like a calf, Lebanon and Sirion like a young unicorn.

The voice of the Lord divideth the flames of fire.

The voice of the Lord shaketh the wilderness; the Lord shaketh the Wilderness of Kadesh.

The voice of the Lord maketh the hinds to calve, and layeth bare the forests, and in His temple doth every one speak of His glory.

10 The Lord sitteth over the flood; yea, the Lord sitteth as King for ever.

11 The Lord will give strength unto His people; the Lord will bless His people with peace.

Psalm 8

O Lord, our Lord, how excellent is Thy name in all the earth, who hast set Thy glory above the heavens!

Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast Thou ordained strength because of Thine enemies, that Thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger.

When I consider Thy heavens, the work of Thy fingers, the moon and the stars which Thou hast ordained,

what is man that Thou art mindful of him, and the son of man that Thou dost visit him?

For Thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honor.

Thou hast made him to have dominion over the works of Thy hands; Thou hast put all things under his feet,

all sheep and oxen, yea, and the beasts of the field,

the fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea, and whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas.

O Lord, our Lord, how excellent is Thy name in all the earth!

Psalm 84

84 How amiable are Thy tabernacles, O Lord of hosts!

My soul longeth, yea, even fainteth for the courts of the Lord; my heart and my flesh crieth out for the living God.

Yea, the sparrow hath found a house, and the swallow a nest for herself where she may lay her young” even Thine altars, O Lord of hosts, my King and my God.

Blessed are they that dwell in Thy house; they will be ever praising Thee. Selah

Blessed is the man whose strength is in Thee, in whose heart are Thy ways,

who passing through the Valley of Baca makes it a well; the rain also filleth the pools.

They go from strength to strength; every one of them in Zion appeareth before God.

O Lord God of hosts, hear my prayer; give ear, O God of Jacob. Selah

Behold, O God our shield, and look upon the face of Thine anointed.

10 For a day in Thy courts is better than a thousand; I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.

11 For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord will give grace and glory; no good thing will He withhold from them that walk uprightly.

12 O Lord of hosts, blessed is the man that trusteth in Thee!

1 Kings 19:8-21

And he arose, and ate and drank, and went in the strength of that meat forty days and forty nights unto Horeb the mount of God.

And he came thither unto a cave and lodged there; and behold, the word of the Lord came to him, and He said unto him, “What doest thou here, Elijah?”

10 And he said, “I have been very jealous for the Lord God of hosts; for the children of Israel have forsaken Thy covenant, thrown down Thine altars, and slain Thy prophets with the sword. And I, even I only, am left; and they seek my life, to take it away.”

11 And He said, “Go forth, and stand upon the mount before the Lord.” And behold, the Lord passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains and broke in pieces the rocks before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind; and after the wind an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake.

12 And after the earthquake a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire; and after the fire a still small voice.

13 And it was so, when Elijah heard it, that he wrapped his face in his mantle, and went out and stood in the entrance of the cave. And behold, there came a voice unto him and said, “What doest thou here, Elijah?”

14 And he said, “I have been very jealous for the Lord God of hosts, because the children of Israel have forsaken Thy covenant, thrown down Thine altars, and slain Thy prophets with the sword. And I, even I only, am left; and they seek my life, to take it away.”

15 And the Lord said unto him, “Go, return on thy way to the Wilderness of Damascus. And when thou comest, anoint Hazael to be king over Syria;

16 and Jehu the son of Nimshi shalt thou anoint to be king over Israel; and Elisha the son of Shaphat of Abelmeholah shalt thou anoint to be prophet in thy stead.

17 And it shall come to pass that him that escapeth the sword of Hazael shall Jehu slay; and him that escapeth from the sword of Jehu shall Elisha slay.

18 Yet I have left Me seven thousand in Israel, all the knees which have not bowed unto Baal, and every mouth which hath not kissed him.”

19 So he departed from thence, and found Elisha the son of Shaphat, who was plowing with twelve yoke of oxen before him, and he with the twelfth; and Elijah passed by him, and cast his mantle upon him.

20 And he left the oxen and ran after Elijah, and said, “Let me, I pray thee, kiss my father and my mother, and then I will follow thee.” And he said unto him, “Go back again, for what have I done to thee?”

21 And he returned back from him, and took a yoke of oxen and slew them and boiled their flesh with the instruments of the oxen, and gave unto the people, and they ate. Then he arose and went after Elijah, and ministered unto him.

Acts 5:34-42

34 Then there stood up one in the council, a Pharisee named Gamaliel, a doctor of the law held in high repute among all the people, and commanded them to put the apostles outside a little while.

35 And he said unto them, “Ye men of Israel, take heed to yourselves what ye intend to do concerning these men.

36 For before these days Theudas rose up, boasting himself to be somebody, to whom a number of men, about four hundred, joined themselves. He was slain, and all who obeyed him were scattered and brought to nought.

37 After this man, rose up Judas of Galilee in the days of the taxing, and drew away many people after him. He also perished, and all who obeyed him were dispersed.

38 And now I say unto you, refrain from these men and let them alone, for if this counsel or this work be of men, it will come to nought;

39 but if it be of God, ye cannot overthrow it, lest it may happen ye be found even to fight against God.”

40 And with him they agreed. And when they had called the apostles back and had beaten them, they commanded that they should not speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go.

41 And they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for His name.

42 And daily in the temple and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ.

John 11:45-47

45 Then many of the Jews who came to Mary and had seen the things which Jesus did, believed in Him.

46 But some of them went their ways to the Pharisees, and told them what things Jesus had done.

47 Then gathered the chief priests and the Pharisees a council and said, “What shall we do? For this man doeth many miracles.
