46 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

² Therefore will we not fear though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea,

³ though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah

⁴ There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the Most High.

⁵ God is in the midst of her, she shall not be moved; God shall help her, and that right early.

⁶ The heathen raged, the kingdoms were moved; He uttered His voice, the earth melted.

⁷ The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah

⁸ Come, behold the works of the Lord, what desolations He hath made on the earth.

⁹ He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth; He breaketh the bow and cutteth the spear in sunder; He burneth the chariot with fire.

¹⁰ Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted on the earth.

¹¹ The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah

87 His foundation is in the holy mountains.

² The Lord loveth the gates of Zion more than all the dwellings of Jacob.

³ Glorious things are spoken of thee, O city of God! Selah

⁴ “I will make mention of Rahab and Babylon to them that know Me; behold, Philistia and Tyre, with Ethiopia: ‘This man was born there.’”

⁵ And of Zion it shall be said, “This and that man were born in her; and the Highest Himself shall establish her.”

⁶ The Lord shall count, when He writeth up the people, that this man was born there. Selah

⁷ Singers as well as players on instruments shall be there and say, “All my springs are in thee.”

²² And Solomon stood before the altar of the Lord in the presence of all the congregation of Israel and spread forth his hands toward heaven;

²³ and he said, “Lord God of Israel, there is no God like Thee in heaven above or on earth beneath, who keepest covenant and mercy with Thy servants who walk before Thee with all their heart,

²⁴ who hast kept with Thy servant David my father what Thou promised him. Thou speakest also with Thy mouth and hast fulfilled it with Thine hand, as it is this day.

²⁵ Therefore now, Lord God of Israel, keep with Thy servant David my father what Thou promised him, saying, ‘There shall not fail thee a man in My sight to sit on the throne of Israel, only if thy children take heed to their way, that they walk before Me as thou hast walked before Me.’

²⁶ And now, O God of Israel, let Thy word, I pray Thee, be verified, which Thou speakest unto Thy servant David my father.

²⁷ “But will God indeed dwell on the earth? Behold, the heaven and heaven of heavens cannot contain Thee; how much less this house that I have built?

²⁸ Yet have Thou respect unto the prayer of Thy servant and to his supplication, O Lord my God, to hearken unto the cry and to the prayer which Thy servant prayeth before Thee today,

²⁹ that Thine eyes may be open toward this house night and day, even toward the place of which Thou hast said, ‘My name shall be there,’ that Thou mayest hearken unto the prayer which Thy servant shall make toward this place.

³⁰ And hearken Thou to the supplication of Thy servant and of Thy people Israel when they shall pray toward this place, and hear Thou in heaven Thy dwelling place; and when Thou hearest, forgive.

¹¹ Therefore, remember that ye, being in times past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by those who are called the Circumcision in the flesh so made by hands—

¹² remember that at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world.

¹³ But now in Christ Jesus, ye who once were far off have been brought nigh by the blood of Christ.

¹⁴ For He is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us,

¹⁵ having abolished in His flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances, that He might make in Himself one new man out of the two, so making peace,

¹⁶ and that He might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby.

¹⁷ He came and preached peace to you who were afar off and to those who were nigh;

¹⁸ for through Him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.

¹⁹ Now therefore, ye are strangers and foreigners no more, but fellow citizens with the saints, and of the household of God.

²⁰ Ye are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone,

²¹ in whom all the building, fitly framed together, groweth unto a holy temple in the Lord,

²² in Whom ye also are built together for a habitation of God through the Spirit.
