Book of Common Prayer
1 ¶ O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good because his mercy endures for ever.
2 Let Israel now say that his mercy endures for ever.
3 Let the house of Aaron now say, that his mercy endures for ever.
4 Let those that fear the LORD say now, that his mercy is eternal.
5 From a tight place I called upon JAH; and JAH answered me and set me in a wide place.
6 The LORD is for me; I will not fear what man can do unto me.
7 The LORD takes my part with those that help me; therefore I shall see my desire upon those that hate me.
8 It is better to wait upon the LORD than to wait upon man.
9 It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in princes.
10 All the nations compassed me about; but in the name of the LORD I will cut them off.
11 They compassed me about; yea, they laid hold of me; but in the name of the LORD I will cut them off.
12 They compassed me about like bees; they were quenched as the fire of thorns; for in the name of the LORD I will cut them off.
13 Thou hast thrust at me with violence that I might fall, but the LORD helped me.
14 JAH is my strength and song and is become my saving health.
15 The voice of singing and saving health is in the tents of the righteous; the right hand of the LORD does valiantly.
16 The right hand of the LORD is exalted; the right hand of the LORD does valiantly.
17 I shall not die, but live and declare the works of JAH.
18 JAH has chastened me sore, but he has not given me over unto death.
19 ¶ Open unto me the gates of righteousness; I will go in through them; I will praise JAH.
20 This gate is of the LORD; the righteous shall enter in.
21 I will praise thee; for thou hast heard me and art become my saving health.
22 The stone which the builders rejected is become the head of the corner.
23 This is the LORD’s doing; it is marvellous in our eyes.
24 This is the day which the LORD has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.
25 Save now, I beseech thee, O LORD; O LORD, I beseech thee, cause us now to prosper.
26 Blessed be he that comes in the name of the LORD; from the house of the LORD we bless you.
27 God is the LORD, who has shined on us; bind the sacrifice with cords, even unto the horns of the altar.
28 Thou art my God, and I will praise thee; thou art my God, I will exalt thee.
29 O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good, for his mercy endures for ever.

19 In that day shall there be an altar to the LORD in the midst of the land of Egypt and a pyramid titled “To the LORD” at the border thereof.
20 And it shall be for a sign and for a witness unto the LORD of the hosts in the land of Egypt; for they shall cry unto the LORD because of the oppressors, and he shall send them a Saviour, and a Prince, and he shall deliver them.
21 And the LORD shall be known to Egypt, and the Egyptians shall know the LORD in that day and shall do sacrifice and oblation; they shall vow vows unto the LORD and perform them.
22 And the LORD shall smite Egypt; he shall smite and heal it because they shall become converted unto the LORD, and he shall grant them clemency and shall heal them.

24 In that day Israel shall be the third part with Egypt and with Assyria, even a blessing in the midst of the earth.
25 For the LORD of the hosts shall bless them, saying, Blessed be Egypt my people, and Assyria the work of my hands, and Israel my inheritance.
5 ¶ Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be unanimous among yourselves according to Christ Jesus,
6 that ye may with one accord and one mouth glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
7 ¶ Therefore bear one another, as the Christ also bore us, to the glory of God.
8 Now I say that Christ Jesus, was a minister of the circumcision, by the truth of God, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers;
9 but that the Gentiles glorify God by mercy; as it is written, For this cause I will confess thee among the Gentiles and sing unto thy name.
10 And again he says, Rejoice, ye Gentiles, with his people.
11 And again, Praise the Lord, all ye Gentiles; and magnify him, all the peoples.
12 And again, Isaiah says, There shall be a root of Jesse and he that shall rise to reign over the Gentiles; in him the Gentiles shall wait for salvation.
13 ¶ And believing, the God of hope fills you with all joy and peace that ye may abound in hope by the virtue of the Holy Spirit.
11 ¶ And as they heard these things, he added and spoke a parable because he was near to Jerusalem and because they thought that the kingdom of God should immediately be manifested.
12 He said therefore, A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return.
13 And having called ten of his slaves, he delivered them ten minas and said unto them, Trade until I come.
14 But his citizens hated him and sent an embassy after him, saying, We will not have this man to reign over us.
15 And it came to pass that when he was returned, having received the kingdom, then he commanded these slaves to be called unto him, to whom he had given the money, that he might know how much each one had gained by trading.
16 Then came the first, saying, Lord, thy mina has gained ten minas.
17 And he said unto him, Well done, thou good slave; because thou hast been faithful in a very little, thou shalt have authority over ten cities.
18 And the second came, saying, Lord, thy mina has made five minas.
19 And he said likewise to him, Be thou also over five cities.
20 And another came, saying, Lord, behold, here is thy mina, which I have kept laid up in a napkin,
21 for I feared thee because thou art an austere man: thou takest up that which thou didst not lay down and dost reap that which thou didst not sow.
22 Then he said unto him, Out of thine own mouth I will judge thee, thou wicked slave. Thou knewest that I was an austere man, taking up that which I did not lay down, and reaping that which I did not sow;
23 why then didst thou not give my money into the bank, that at my coming I might have required my own with interest?
24 And he said unto those that stood by, Take from him the mina and give it to him that has the ten minas.
25 (And they said unto him, Lord, he has ten minas.)
26 For I say unto you, That unto every one who has shall be given; and from him that has not, even that which he has shall be taken away from him.
27 Moreover, those enemies of mine, who were unwilling that I should reign over them, bring them here and slay them before me.
