75 We will praise You, O God! We will praise You, for Your Name is near! They will declare Your wondrous works.
2 “When I shall take a convenient time, I will judge righteously.
3 “The Earth and all the inhabitants thereof are dissolved; but I will establish the pillars of it. Selah.
4 “I said to the foolish, ‘Do not be so foolish,’ and to the wicked, ‘Do not lift up the horn.
5 “‘Do not lift up your horn on High, nor speak with a stiff neck.’”
6 For exaltation is neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south.
7 But God is the judge. He makes low and He makes high.
8 For a cup is in the hand of the LORD, and the wine is foaming. It is fully mixed, and He pours out of the same. Surely, all the wicked of the Earth shall drain and drink the dregs thereof.
9 But I will declare forever and sing praises to the God of Jacob.
10 Also, all the horns of the wicked I will break. But the horns of the righteous shall be exalted. To him who excels on Neginoth: a Psalm, or song, committed to Asaph
76 God is known in Judah. His Name is great in Israel.
2 For in Salem is His Tabernacle; and His dwelling is in Zion.
3 There He broke the arrows of the bow, the shield, and the sword, and the battle. Selah.
4 You are brighter and more excellent than the mountains of prey.
5 The stout-hearted are spoiled. They have slept their sleep, and all the men of strength have not found their hands.
6 At Your rebuke, O God of Jacob, both the chariot and horse are cast dead asleep.
7 You. You are to be feared. And who shall stand in Your sight when You are angry!
8 You caused judgment to be heard from Heaven. The Earth feared, and was still,
9 when You, O God, rose to judgment to help all the meek of the Earth. Selah.
10 Surely, the rage of man shall turn to Your praise; the remnant of the rage You shall restrain.
11 Vow and perform to the LORD your God, all you who surround Him; let them bring presents to Him Who ought to be feared.

23 The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2 He makes me to rest in green pasture and leads me by the still waters.
3 He restores my soul and leads me in the paths of righteousness, for His Name’s sake.
4 Indeed, though I should walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil. For You are with me. Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
5 You prepare a table before me in the sight of my adversaries. You anoint my head with oil; and my cup runs over.

27 The LORD is my light and my salvation. Whom shall I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life. Of whom shall I be afraid?
2 When the wicked—even my enemies—and my foes came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell.
3 Though an army encamped against me, my heart shall not be afraid. Though war is raised against me, I will trust in this.
4 One thing have I desired of the LORD, that I will require: That I may dwell in the House of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD and to visit His Temple.
5 For in the time of trouble, He shall hide me in His Tabernacle. In the secret place of His pavilion, He shall hide me and set me up upon a rock.
6 And now, He shall lift up my head above my enemies all around me. Therefore, I will offer sacrifices of joy in His Tabernacle. I will sing and praise the LORD.
7 Hear my voice, O LORD, when I cry. Have mercy, also, upon me and hear me.
8 When You said, “Seek My face,” my heart answered You, “O LORD, I will seek Your face.”
9 Do not hide, therefore, Your face from me, nor cast Your servant away in displeasure. You have been my succor; do not leave me or forsake me, O God of my salvation.
10 Though my father and my mother should forsake me, yet the LORD will gather me up.
11 Teach me Your way, O LORD, and lead me in a right path, because of my enemies.
12 Do not give me to the lust of my adversaries. For there are false witnesses risen up against me, and such as speak cruelly.
13 I should have fainted, except I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.

22 Again, the Philistines came up and spread themselves in the Valley of Rephaim.
23 And when David asked counsel of the LORD, He answered, “You shall not go up. Circle around behind them and come upon them in front of the mulberry trees.
24 “And when you hear the noise of marching in the tops of the mulberry trees, then move. For then shall the LORD go out before you, to strike the army of the Philistines.”
25 Then David did so, as the LORD had Commanded him, and struck the Philistines from Geba, until you come to Gezer.
6 Again, David gathered together all the chosen men of Israel: thirty thousand.
2 And David arose and went with all the people who were with him from Baale of Judah, to bring up the Ark of God from there, whose name comes from the Name of the LORD of Hosts, Who dwells upon it between the Cherubim.
3 And they put the Ark of God upon a new cart and brought it out of the house of Abinadab that was in Gibeah. And Uzzah and Ahio, the sons of Abinadab, drove the new cart.
4 And when they brought the Ark of God out of the house of Abinadab that was at Gibeah, Ahio went before the Ark.
5 And David and all the House of Israel played before the LORD on all instruments made of fir, and on harps, and on psalteries, and on tambourines, and on cornets, and on cymbals.
6 And when they came to Nachon’s threshing floor, Uzzah put his hand on the Ark of God and held it. For the oxen shook it.
7 And the LORD was very angry with Uzzah. And God struck him in that same place for his fault. And there he died, by the Ark of God.
8 And David was displeased because the LORD had stricken Uzzah. And he called the name of the place “Perez Uzzah” until this day.
9 Therefore, David feared the LORD that day, and said, “How shall the Ark of the LORD come to me?”
10 So David would not bring the Ark of the LORD to him into the City of David. But David carried it into the house of Obed-Edom, a Gittite.
11 And the Ark of the LORD stayed in the house of Obed-Edom the Gittite for three months. And the LORD blessed Obed-Edom and all his household.
16 Now while Paul waited for them at Athens, when he saw the idolatry in the city, his spirit was pricked within him.
17 Therefore he disputed daily - with the Jews in the synagogue, with the religious, and in the marketplace - with whomever he met.
18 Then some Epicurean and Stoic philosophers disputed with him. And some said, “What will this babbler say?” Others said, “He seems to be a proclaimer of strange gods.” (because he preached Jesus to them, and the resurrection.)
19 And they took him, and brought him to Mars’ Hill, saying, “May we know what this new doctrine is of which you speak?
20 “For you bring some strange things to our ears. Therefore, we want to know what these things mean.”
21 For all the Athenians (and strangers who dwelt there) gave themselves to nothing else but either telling or hearing something new.
22 Then Paul stood in the midst of Mars’ Hill, and said, “Men of Athens! I perceive that in all things you are very fearful of gods.
23 “For as I passed by and observed your objects of worship, I found an altar whereupon was written, ‘TO THE UNKNOWN GOD’. Him then, Whom you ignorantly worship, I proclaim to you.
24 “God - Who made the world and all things that therein are - seeing that He is Lord of Heaven and Earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands.
25 “Nor is He worshipped with man’s hands as though He needed anything (seeing He gives life to all, and breath, and all things).
26 “And He has made, from one blood, all nations of mankind to dwell on all the face of the Earth; and has assigned the seasons (which were pre-ordained) and the boundaries of their dwellings,
27 “so that they should seek the Lord; that perhaps they might have groped after Him and found Him. Though doubtless He is not far from each one of us.
28 “For in Him we live, and move, and have our being, as some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are also His family’.
29 “Therefore, since we are the family of God, we ought not to think that the Divine is like gold, or silver, or stone, sculpted by art and the invention of man.
30 “God, having overlooked these times of ignorance, now admonishes all mankind, everywhere, to repent.
31 “Because He has appointed a Day on the which He will judge the world in righteousness by that Man Whom He has appointed. He has given us all this assurance by raising Him from the dead.”
32 Now when they had heard of the resurrection from the dead, some mocked. And others said, “We will hear from you again about this.”
33 And so Paul departed from among them.
34 But some men joined Paul and believed. Among them were Dionysius Areopagite, and a woman named Damaris, and others with them.
8 In those days, when there was a very great multitude and they had nothing to eat, Jesus called His disciples to Him and said to them,
2 “I have compassion on the multitude, because they have now continued with Me three days and have nothing to eat.
3 “And if I send them away fasting to their own houses, they would faint on the way.” For some of them came from far away.
4 Then His disciples answered Him, “How can we give them bread here in the wilderness?”
5 And He asked them, “How many loaves do you have?” And they said, “Seven.”
6 Then He commanded the multitude to sit down on the ground. And He took the seven loaves and gave thanks; broke them and gave them to His disciples to set before them. And they set them before the people.
7 They had also a few small fishes. And when He had given thanks, He commanded them also to be set before them.
8 So they ate and were satisfied. And they took up seven baskets full of the broken pieces that were left.
9 And those who had eaten were about four thousand. So, He sent them away.
10 And soon, He entered into a ship with His disciples and came into the parts of Dalmanutha.
