    To the Chief Musician. With stringed instruments. A Psalm of David.

    Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness! You have relieved me in my distress; Have mercy on me, and hear my prayer.
  2. But as for me, I will come into Your house in the multitude of Your mercy; In fear of You I will worship toward Your holy temple.
  3. Have mercy on me, O Lord, for I am weak; O Lord, heal me, for my bones are troubled.
  4. Return, O Lord, deliver me! Oh, save me for Your mercies’ sake!
  5. Have mercy on me, O Lord! Consider my trouble from those who hate me, You who lift me up from the gates of death,
  6. But I have trusted in Your mercy; My heart shall rejoice in Your salvation.
  7. With the merciful You will show Yourself merciful; With a blameless man You will show Yourself blameless;
  8. Great deliverance He gives to His king, And shows mercy to His anointed, To David and his descendants forevermore.
