  1. And Moses said to the people, “Remember this day in which you departed from Egypt, from the house of slavery; for by a powerful hand the Lord brought you out from this place. And nothing with yeast shall be eaten.
  2. And it shall be when your son asks you in time to come, saying, ‘What is this?’ then you shall say to him, ‘With a powerful hand the Lord brought us out of Egypt, from the house of slavery.
  3. “I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery.
  4. ‘I am the Lord your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery.
  5. be careful that you do not forget the Lord who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery.
  6. but because the Lord loved you and kept the oath which He swore to your forefathers, the Lord brought you out by a mighty hand and redeemed you from the house of slavery, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt.
  7. then your heart will become proud and you will forget the Lord your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery;
  8. But that prophet or that dreamer of dreams shall be put to death, because he has spoken falsely against the Lord your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt and redeemed you from the house of slavery, to drive you from the way in which the Lord your God commanded you to walk. So you shall eliminate the evil from among you.
  9. So you shall stone him to death, because he has attempted to drive you away from the Lord your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery.
  10. that the Lord sent a prophet to the sons of Israel, and he said to them, “This is what the Lord, the God of Israel says: ‘It was I who brought you up from Egypt, and brought you out of the house of slavery.
  11. They refused to listen, And did not remember Your wondrous deeds which You performed among them; So they became stubborn and appointed a leader to return to their slavery in Egypt. But You are a God of forgiveness, Gracious and compassionate, Slow to anger and abounding in mercy; And You did not abandon them.
  12. Indeed, I brought you up from the land of Egypt, I redeemed you from the house of slavery, And I sent before you Moses, Aaron, and Miriam.
  13. For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons and daughters by which we cry out, “Abba! Father!”
  14. that the creation itself also will be set free from its slavery to corruption into the freedom of the glory of the children of God.
  15. Follow the Spirit

    It was for freedom that Christ set us free; therefore keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery.
  16. and free those who through fear of death were subject to slavery all their lives.
