As Jesus was about to go up to Jerusalem, He took the twelve disciples aside by themselves, and on the road He said to them,

Jesus Answers the Sadducees
On that day some Sadducees (who say there is no resurrection) came to Jesus and questioned Him,

In the resurrection, therefore, whose wife of the seven will she be? For they all had her in marriage.”

For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels in heaven.

But regarding the resurrection of the dead, have you not read what was spoken to you by God:

and coming out of the tombs after His resurrection, they entered the holy city and appeared to many.

And from there they went out and began to go through Galilee, and He did not want anyone to know about it.

Is There a Resurrection?

but those who are considered worthy to attain to that age and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry nor are given in marriage;

for they cannot even die anymore, for they are like angels, and are sons of God, being sons of the resurrection.

But on the first day of the week, at early dawn, they came to the tomb bringing the spices which they had prepared.
