Saul Persecutes the Church

Now Saul was consenting to his death. At that time a great persecution arose against the church which was at Jerusalem; and they were all scattered throughout the regions of Judea and Samaria, except the apostles.

  12. so that we ourselves boast of you among the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that you endure,
  13. persecutions, afflictions, which happened to me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra—what persecutions I endured. And out of them all the Lord delivered me.
  14. Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.
