    “You must not pass along false rumors. You must not cooperate with evil people by lying on the witness stand.
  2. “You must not follow the crowd in doing wrong. When you are called to testify in a dispute, do not be swayed by the crowd to twist justice.

  8. Let true justice prevail, so you may live and occupy the land that the Lord your God is giving you.
  9. Concern for Justice

    “When you arrive in the land the Lord your God is giving you as your special possession, you must never steal anyone’s land by moving the boundary markers your ancestors set up to mark their property.
  10. “True justice must be given to foreigners living among you and to orphans, and you must never accept a widow’s garment as security for her debt.
  11. ‘Cursed is anyone who denies justice to foreigners, orphans, or widows.’ And all the people will reply, ‘Amen.’
  12. “Indeed, the Lord will give justice to his people, and he will change his mind about his servants, when he sees their strength is gone and no one is left, slave or free.
  13. when I sharpen my flashing sword and begin to carry out justice, I will take revenge on my enemies and repay those who reject me.
  14. The people of Gad took the best land for themselves; a leader’s share was assigned to them. When the leaders of the people were assembled, they carried out the Lord’s justice and obeyed his regulations for Israel.”

  22. Praise the Lord your God, who delights in you and has placed you on the throne of Israel. Because of the Lord’s eternal love for Israel, he has made you king so you can rule with justice and righteousness.”
