  1. The Wickedness and Judgment of Man

    Now it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born to them,
  2. Therefore say to the children of Israel: ‘I am the Lord; I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, I will rescue you from their bondage, and I will redeem you with an outstretched arm and with great judgments.
  3. But Pharaoh will not heed you, so that I may lay My hand on Egypt and bring My armies and My people, the children of Israel, out of the land of Egypt by great judgments.
  4. ‘For I will pass through the land of Egypt on that night, and will strike all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the Lord.
  5. The Law Concerning Servants

    “Now these are the judgments which you shall set before them:
  6. Whether it has gored a son or gored a daughter, according to this judgment it shall be done to him.
  7. “You shall not pervert the judgment of your poor in his dispute.

  9. The Breastplate

    “You shall make the breastplate of judgment. Artistically woven according to the workmanship of the ephod you shall make it: of gold, blue, purple, and scarlet thread, and fine woven linen, you shall make it.

  17. ‘Therefore you shall observe all My statutes and all My judgments, and perform them: I am the Lord.’ ”
  18. ‘You shall therefore keep all My statutes and all My judgments, and perform them, that the land where I am bringing you to dwell may not vomit you out.
  19. Provisions for the Seventh Year

    ‘So you shall observe My statutes and keep My judgments, and perform them; and you will dwell in the land in safety.
  20. and if you despise My statutes, or if your soul abhors My judgments, so that you do not perform all My commandments, but break My covenant,
  21. The land also shall be left empty by them, and will enjoy its sabbaths while it lies desolate without them; they will accept their guilt, because they despised My judgments and because their soul abhorred My statutes.
  22. These are the statutes and judgments and laws which the Lord made between Himself and the children of Israel on Mount Sinai by the hand of Moses.
  23. And if his father has no brothers, then you shall give his inheritance to the relative closest to him in his family, and he shall possess it.’ ” And it shall be to the children of Israel a statute of judgment, just as the Lord commanded Moses.
  24. He shall stand before Eleazar the priest, who shall inquire before the Lord for him by the judgment of the Urim. At his word they shall go out, and at his word they shall come in, he and all the children of Israel with him—all the congregation.”
  25. For the Egyptians were burying all their firstborn, whom the Lord had killed among them. Also on their gods the Lord had executed judgments.
