Abram Promised a Son
After these things the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision, saying, “Do not fear, Abram, I am a shield to you; Your reward shall be very great.”
-
God heard the boy crying; and the angel of God called to Hagar from heaven and said to her, “What is the matter with you, Hagar? Do not fear, for God has heard the voice of the boy where he is.
-
He said, “Do not reach out your hand against the boy, and do not do anything to him; for now I know that you fear God, since you have not withheld your son, your only son, from Me.”
-
And the Lord appeared to him the same night and said, “I am the God of your father Abraham; Do not fear, for I am with you. I will bless you and multiply your descendants, For the sake of My servant Abraham.”
-
If the God of my father, the God of Abraham and the fear of Isaac, had not been for me, surely now you would have sent me away empty-handed. God has seen my affliction and the labor of my hands, so He rendered judgment last night.”
-
And when she was suffering severe difficulties in her labor, the midwife said to her, “Do not fear, for you have another son!”
-
For how shall I go up to my father if the boy is not with me? I fear that I may see the evil that would overtake my father.”
-
But the midwives feared God, and did not do as the king of Egypt had commanded them, but let the boys live.
-
But as for you and your servants, I know that you do not yet fear the Lord God.”
-
The Sea Is Divided
But Moses said to the people, “Do not fear! Stand by and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will perform for you today; for the Egyptians whom you have seen today, you will never see them again, ever.
-
However, Moses said to the people, “Do not be afraid; for God has come in order to test you, and in order that the fear of Him may remain with you, so that you will not sin.”
-
The Covenant Renewed
Then God said, “Behold, I am going to make a covenant. Before all your people I will perform miracles which have not been produced in all the earth nor among any of the nations; and all the people among whom you live will see the working of the Lord, for it is a fearful thing that I am going to perform with you.
-
So you shall not wrong one another, but you shall fear your God; for I am the Lord your God.
-
Do not take any kind of interest from him, but fear your God, so that your countryman may live with you.
-
Only do not rebel against the Lord; and do not fear the people of the land, for they will be our prey. Their protection is gone from them, and the Lord is with us; do not fear them.”
-
But the Lord said to Moses, “Do not fear him, for I have handed him over to you, and all his people and his land; and you shall do to him as you did to Sihon, king of the Amorites, who lived in Heshbon.”
-
See, the Lord your God has placed the land before you; go up, take possession, just as the Lord, the God of your fathers, has spoken to you. Do not fear or be dismayed.’
-
But I said to you, ‘Do not be terrified, nor fear them.
-
But the Lord said to me, ‘Do not fear him, for I have handed him and all his people and his land over to you; and you shall do to him just as you did to Sihon king of the Amorites, who lived in Heshbon.’
-
Do not fear them, for the Lord your God is the One fighting for you.’
-
how he confronted you on the way and attacked among you all the stragglers at your rear when you were tired and weary; and he did not fear God.
-
“If you are not careful to follow all the words of this Law that are written in this book, to fear this honored and awesome name, the Lord your God,
-
And the Lord is the one who is going ahead of you; He will be with you. He will not desert you or abandon you. Do not fear and do not be dismayed.”
-
And their children, who have not known, will hear and learn to fear the Lord your God, as long as you live on the land which you are about to cross the Jordan to possess.”
-
Had I not feared the provocation by the enemy, That their adversaries would misjudge, That they would say, “Our hand is triumphant, And the Lord has not performed all this.”’
