For by the last words of David, the Levites from twenty years old and above were counted.

And King Solomon and all the assembly of Israel who gathered together with him before the ark were sacrificing so many sheep and oxen that they could not be counted or numbered.

And Cyrus, king of Persia, had Mithredath the treasurer bring them out, and he counted them out to Sheshbazzar, the governor (leader) of Judah.

And they counted: 30 dishes (basins) of gold, 1,000 dishes of silver, 29 duplicates;

Every piece was counted and weighed, and all the weight was recorded at that time.

“They have cut down her forest,” says the Lord; “Certainly it will no longer be found, Because they (the invaders) are more numerous than locusts And cannot be counted.

[And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, “He was counted with the transgressors.”]

For I tell you that this [Scripture] which is written must be completed and fulfilled in Me: ‘And He was counted with the criminals’; for that which refers to Me has its fulfillment [and is settled].”

For he (Judas) was counted among us and received his share [by divine allotment] in this ministry.”

That is, it is not the children of the body [Abraham’s natural descendants] who are God’s children, but it is the children of the promise who are counted as [Abraham’s true] descendants.

At my first trial no one supported me [as an advocate] or stood with me, but they all deserted me. May it not be counted against them [by God].

Children of God Love One Another

See what an incredible quality of love the Father has shown to us, that we would [be permitted to] be named and called and counted the children of God! And so we are! For this reason the world does not know us, because it did not know Him.
