  23. Her cities have become a horror, a land of drought and a desert, a land in which no one dwells, and through which no son of man passes.
  24. And join them one to another into one stick, that they may become one in your hand.
  25. This is the exultant city that lived securely, that said in her heart, “I am, and there is no one else.” What a desolation she has become, a lair for wild beasts! Everyone who passes by her hisses and shakes his fist.
