Now the names of the twelve apostles are these: The first, Simon, who is called Peter, and his brother Andrew; and James the son of Zebedee, and his brother John;

The apostles *gathered together with Jesus; and they reported to Him all that they had done and taught.

The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith!”

The Lord’s Supper
When the hour came, He reclined at the table, and the apostles with Him.

Now these women were Mary Magdalene, Joanna, and Mary the mother of James; also the other women with them were telling these things to the apostles.

until the day when He was taken up to heaven, after He had given orders by the Holy Spirit to the apostles whom He had chosen.

And with great power the apostles were giving testimony to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and abundant grace was upon them all.

Now Joseph, a Levite of Cyprian birth, who was also called Barnabas by the apostles (which translated means Son of Encouragement),

Saul Persecutes the Church
Now Saul approved of putting Stephen to death. And on that day a great persecution began against the church in Jerusalem, and they were all scattered throughout the regions of Judea and Samaria, except for the apostles.
