  1. A New Son

    And Adam knew his wife again, and she bore a son and named him Seth, “For God has appointed another seed for me instead of Abel, whom Cain killed.”

  9. and I will make you swear by the Lord, the God of heaven and the God of the earth, that you will not take a wife for my son from the daughters of the Canaanites, among whom I dwell;
  10. The Lord God of heaven, who took me from my father’s house and from the land of my family, and who spoke to me and swore to me, saying, ‘To your descendants I give this land,’ He will send His angel before you, and you shall take a wife for my son from there.
  11. And I bowed my head and worshiped the Lord, and blessed the Lord God of my master Abraham, who had led me in the way of truth to take the daughter of my master’s brother for his son.
  12. And it came to pass, after the death of Abraham, that God blessed his son Isaac. And Isaac dwelt at Beer Lahai Roi.
  13. Wrestling with God

    And he arose that night and took his two wives, his two female servants, and his eleven sons, and crossed over the ford of Jabbok.
  14. And they journeyed, and the terror of God was upon the cities that were all around them, and they did not pursue the sons of Jacob.

  20. and you take of his daughters for your sons, and his daughters play the harlot with their gods and make your sons play the harlot with their gods.
  21. The Artisans Called by God

    And Moses said to the children of Israel, “See, the Lord has called by name Bezalel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah;
