Now it came about, when mankind began to multiply on the face of the land, and daughters were born to them, that the sons of God saw that the daughters of mankind were beautiful; and they took wives for themselves, whomever they chose. Then the Lord said, “My Spirit will not remain with man forever, because he is also flesh; nevertheless his days shall be 120 years.” ...

  12. Then Noah and his sons, his wife, and his sons’ wives with him entered the ark because of the waters of the flood.
  13. they all went into the ark to Noah by twos, male and female, as God had commanded Noah.
  14. In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, on the seventeenth day of the month, on that day all the fountains of the great deep burst open, and the floodgates of the sky were opened.
  15. On this very same day Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth, the sons of Noah, and Noah’s wife and the three wives of his sons with them, entered the ark,
  16. So they went into the ark to Noah, by twos of all flesh in which there was the breath of life.
  17. So He wiped out every living thing that was upon the face of the land, from mankind to animals, to crawling things, and the birds of the sky, and they were wiped out from the earth; and only Noah was left, together with those that were with him in the ark.
  18. The Flood Subsides

    But God remembered Noah and all the animals and all the livestock that were with him in the ark; and God caused a wind to pass over the earth, and the water subsided.
  19. Then it came about at the end of forty days, that Noah opened the window of the ark which he had made;
  20. And the dove came to him in the evening, and behold, in its beak was a fresh olive leaf. So Noah knew that the water was low on the earth.
  21. Now it came about in the six hundred and first year, in the first month, on the first of the month, that the water was dried up from the earth. Then Noah removed the covering of the ark, and looked, and behold, the surface of the ground had dried up.
  22. Then God spoke to Noah, saying,
  23. So Noah went out, and his sons and his wife, and his sons’ wives with him.
  24. Then Noah built an altar to the Lord, and took some of every kind of clean animal and some of every clean bird and offered burnt offerings on the altar.

    Then God blessed Noah and his sons, and said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth.
