And God said, Behold, I have given unto you every herb bearing seed, which is upon all the earth, and every tree, wherein is the fruit of a tree bearing seed: that shall be to you for meat.

The name of one is Pishon: the same compasseth the whole land of Havilah, where is gold.

And the gold of that land is good: there is Bdellium, and the Onyx stone.

And the name of the second river is Gihon: the same compasseth the whole land of Cush.

And the name of the [third] river is Hiddekel: this goeth toward the East side of Ashshur: and the fourth river is Parah)

Also the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be himself alone: I will make him an help meet for him.

Then the man said, This now is bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh. She shall be called woman, because she was taken out of the man.

But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.

¶ Also to Adam he said, Because thou hast obeyed the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, (whereof I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it) cursed is the earth for thy sake: in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life.

¶ And the Lord God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil. And now lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live forever,

And I, behold, I will bring a flood of waters upon the earth to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life under heaven: all that is in the earth shall perish.

And take thou with thee of all meat that is eaten: and thou shalt gather it to thee, that it may be meat for thee and for them.

For they came to Noah into the Ark, two and two, of all flesh wherein is the breath of life.

Now God remembered Noah and every beast, and all the cattle that were with him in the Ark: therefore God made a wind to pass upon the earth, and the waters ceased.

Bring forth with thee every beast that is with thee, of all flesh, both fowl and cattle, and everything that creepeth and moveth upon the earth, that they may breed abundantly in the earth, and bring forth fruit and increase upon the earth.
