  15. Then their father Israel said to them, “If it must be so, then do this: take some of the best products of the land in your bags, and carry down to the man as a gift, a little balsam and a little honey, labdanum resin and myrrh, pistachio nuts and almonds.
  16. Then the sons of Israel did so; and Joseph gave them wagons according to the command of Pharaoh, and gave them provisions for the journey.
  17. Then Israel said, “It is enough; my son Joseph is still alive. I will go and see him before I die.”
  18. Jacob Moves to Egypt

    So Israel set out with all that he had, and came to Beersheba, and offered sacrifices to the God of his father Isaac.
  19. And God spoke to Israel in visions of the night and said, “Jacob, Jacob.” And he said, “Here I am.”
  20. Then Jacob left Beersheba, and the sons of Israel carried their father Jacob and their little ones and their wives in the wagons which Pharaoh had sent to carry him.

    Now these are the names of the sons of Israel who went to Egypt, Jacob and his sons: Reuben, Jacob’s firstborn.
  22. And Joseph prepared his chariot and went up to Goshen to meet his father Israel; as soon as he appeared to him, Joseph threw himself on his neck and wept on his neck a long time.
