Hezekiah and Isaiah. When King Hezekiah heard this, he tore his garments, covered himself with sackcloth, and went into the house of the Lord.

Chapter 20
End of Hezekiah’s Reign. In those days, when Hezekiah was mortally ill, the prophet Isaiah, son of Amoz, came and said to him: “Thus says the Lord: Put your house in order, for you are about to die; you shall not recover.”
-
Before Isaiah had left the central courtyard, the word of the Lord came to him:

Then Isaiah said, “Bring a poultice of figs and apply it to the boil for his recovery.”

Hezekiah asked Isaiah, “What is the sign that the Lord will heal me and that I shall go up to the house of the Lord on the third day?”

Isaiah replied, “This will be the sign for you from the Lord that he will carry out the word he has spoken: Shall the shadow go forward or back ten steps?”

Hezekiah replied to Isaiah, “The word of the Lord which you have spoken is good.” For he thought, “There will be peace and stability in my lifetime.”
-
The rest of the acts of Uzziah, first and last, were written by Isaiah the prophet, son of Amoz.
-
But because of this, King Hezekiah and Isaiah the prophet, son of Amoz, prayed and cried out to heaven.
-
The rest of Hezekiah’s acts, including his good deeds, are recorded in the vision of Isaiah the prophet, son of Amoz, and in the book of the kings of Judah and Israel.

Hezekiah and Isaiah
Hezekiah fortified his city and had water brought into it; With bronze tools he cut through the rocks and dammed up a mountain site for water.
-
But they called upon the Most High God and lifted up their hands to him; He heard the prayer they uttered, and saved them through Isaiah.
-
For Hezekiah did what was right and held fast to the paths of David, As ordered by the illustrious prophet Isaiah, who saw truth in visions.
