  1. And Jesus, walking by the sea of Galilee, saw two brethren, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers.
  2. And when Jesus was come into Peter's house, he saw his wife's mother laid, and sick of a fever.
  3. Now the names of the twelve apostles are these; The first, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother; James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother;

  8. Then answered Peter, and said unto Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here: if thou wilt, let us make here three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias.
  9. Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times?
  10. Peter answered and said unto him, Though all men shall be offended because of thee, yet will I never be offended.
  11. Peter said unto him, Though I should die with thee, yet will I not deny thee. Likewise also said all the disciples.
  12. But Peter followed him afar off unto the high priest's palace, and went in, and sat with the servants, to see the end.
  13. Now Peter sat without in the palace: and a damsel came unto him, saying, Thou also wast with Jesus of Galilee.
  14. And he saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? And Peter answereth and saith unto him, Thou art the Christ.
  15. And after six days Jesus taketh with him Peter, and James, and John, and leadeth them up into an high mountain apart by themselves: and he was transfigured before them.
  16. And Peter answered and said to Jesus, Master, it is good for us to be here: and let us make three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias.
  17. And Peter calling to remembrance saith unto him, Master, behold, the fig tree which thou cursedst is withered away.
  18. But Peter said unto him, Although all shall be offended, yet will not I.
  19. And Peter followed him afar off, even into the palace of the high priest: and he sat with the servants, and warmed himself at the fire.
  20. And as Peter was beneath in the palace, there cometh one of the maids of the high priest:
  21. And he denied it again. And a little after, they that stood by said again to Peter, Surely thou art one of them: for thou art a Galilaean, and thy speech agreeth thereto.
  22. But go your way, tell his disciples and Peter that he goeth before you into Galilee: there shall ye see him, as he said unto you.
  23. When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus' knees, saying, Depart from me; for I am a sinful man, O Lord.
  24. And when he came into the house, he suffered no man to go in, save Peter, and James, and John, and the father and the mother of the maiden.
  25. He said unto them, But whom say ye that I am? Peter answering said, The Christ of God.
