  1. Now therefore you are cursed, and some of you shall never be anything but servants, cutters of wood and drawers of water for the house of my God.”
  2.   6. and a letter to Asaph, the keeper of the king's forest, that he may give me timber to make beams for the gates of the fortress of the temple, and for the wall of the city, and for the house that I shall occupy.” And the king granted me what I asked, for the good hand of my God was upon me.
  7. And I told them of the hand of my God that had been upon me for good, and also of the words that the king had spoken to me. And they said, “Let us rise up and build.” So they strengthened their hands for the good work.
  8. Remember for my good, O my God, all that I have done for this people.
  9. Remember Tobiah and Sanballat, O my God, according to these things that they did, and also the prophetess Noadiah and the rest of the prophets who wanted to make me afraid.
  10. Remember me, O my God, concerning this, and do not wipe out my good deeds that I have done for the house of my God and for his service.
  11. Then I commanded the Levites that they should purify themselves and come and guard the gates, to keep the Sabbath day holy. Remember this also in my favor, O my God, and spare me according to the greatness of your steadfast love.
  12. Remember them, O my God, because they have desecrated the priesthood and the covenant of the priesthood and the Levites.
  13. and I provided for the wood offering at appointed times, and for the firstfruits. Remember me, O my God, for good.

  18. Do not forsake me, O Lord! O my God, be not far from me!
  19. I delight to do your will, O my God; your law is within my heart.”
  20. As for me, I am poor and needy, but the Lord takes thought for me. You are my help and my deliverer; do not delay, O my God!

    Deliver me from my enemies, O my God; protect me from those who rise up against me;
  22. Your procession is seen, O God, the procession of my God, my King, into the sanctuary—
  23. Rescue me, O my God, from the hand of the wicked, from the grasp of the unjust and cruel man.
  24. O God, be not far from me; O my God, make haste to help me!
  25. I will also praise you with the harp for your faithfulness, O my God; I will sing praises to you with the lyre, O Holy One of Israel.
