Yahweh is the strength of his people and a fortress for the victory of his Messiah.

So there were 14 generations from Abraham to David, 14 generations from David until the exile to Babylon, 14 generations from the exile until the Messiah.

But Yeshua was silent. Then the chief priest said to him, “Swear an oath in front of the living God and tell us, are you the Messiah, the Son of God?”

He asked them, “But who do you say I am?” Peter answered him, “You are the Messiah!”

How Can David’s Son Be David’s Lord?
While Yeshua was teaching in the temple courtyard, he asked, “How can the experts in Moses’ Teachings say that the Messiah is David’s son?

“At that time don’t believe anyone who tells you, ‘Here is the Messiah!’ or ‘There he is!’

False messiahs and false prophets will appear. They will work miraculous signs and do wonderful things to deceive, if possible, those whom God has chosen.

Yeshua said to them, “How can people say that the Messiah is David’s son?

“Tell us, are you the Messiah?” Yeshua said to them, “If I tell you, you won’t believe me.

The people stood there watching. But the rulers were making sarcastic remarks. They said, “He saved others. If he’s the Messiah that God has chosen, let him save himself!”
