and I pronounced them unclean because of their ritual gifts, in that they caused all their firstborn to pass through the fire, that I might make them desolate and that they might know that I am the Lord.” ’

Her priests have violated My law and profaned My holy things; they have not distinguished between the holy and unholy, nor have they made known the difference between the unclean and the clean; and they have hidden their eyes from My Sabbaths, so that I am profaned among them.

“Son of man, when the house of Israel dwelt in their own land, they defiled it by their own ways and deeds; to Me their way was like the uncleanness of a woman in her customary impurity.

I will deliver you from all your uncleannesses. I will call for the grain and multiply it, and bring no famine upon you.

According to their uncleanness and according to their transgressions I have dealt with them, and hidden My face from them.” ’

“And they shall teach My people the difference between the holy and the unholy, and cause them to discern between the unclean and the clean.
