  1. Jacob fathered Joseph the husband of Mary, by whom Jesus was born, who is called the Messiah.
  2. Conception and Birth of Jesus

    Now the birth of Jesus the Messiah was as follows: when His mother Mary had been betrothed to Joseph, before they came together she was found to be pregnant by the Holy Spirit.

  8. And Mary Magdalene was there, and the other Mary, sitting opposite the tomb.
  9. Jesus Is Risen!

    Now after the Sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to look at the tomb.
  10. Is this not the carpenter, the son of Mary and brother of James, Joses, Judas, and Simon? And are His sisters not here with us?” And they took offense at Him.
  11. Now there were also some women watching from a distance, among whom were Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James the Less and Joses, and Salome.

  13. The Resurrection

    When the Sabbath was over, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome bought spices so that they might come and anoint Him.

  18. And Mary said, “Behold, the Lord’s bond-servant; may it be done to me according to your word.” And the angel departed from her.
  19. Mary Visits Elizabeth

    Now at this time Mary set out and went in a hurry to the hill country, to a city of Judah,
  20. When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the baby leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit.

  22. Mary stayed with her about three months, and then returned to her home.
  23. in order to register along with Mary, who was betrothed to him, and was pregnant.
  24. And they came in a hurry and found their way to Mary and Joseph, and the baby as He lay in the manger.
  25. But Mary treasured all these things, pondering them in her heart.
