For he taught them as one having authority, and not as the Scribes.

For I am a man also under the authority of another, and have soldiers under me: and I say to one, Go, and he goeth: and to another, Come, and he cometh: and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it.

And that ye may know that the Son of man hath authority in earth to forgive sins (then said he unto the sick of the palsy,) Arise, take up thy bed, and go to thine house.

So when the multitude saw it, they marveled, and glorified God, which had given such authority to men.

Then they answered Jesus, and said, We can not tell. And he said unto them, Neither tell I you by what authority I do these things.

And they were astonied at his doctrine, for he taught them as one that had authority, and not as the Scribes.

And they were all amazed, so that they demanded one of another, saying, What thing is this? what new doctrine is this? for he commandeth even the foul spirits with authority, and they obey him.
