  1. And he suffered no man to follow him, save Peter, and James, and John the brother of James.

  14. And as Peter was beneath in the palace, there cometh one of the maids of the high priest:
  15. And when she saw Peter warming himself, she looked upon him, and said, And thou also wast with Jesus of Nazareth.
  16. And he denied it again. And a little after, they that stood by said again to Peter, Surely thou art one of them: for thou art a Galilaean, and thy speech agreeth thereto.
  17. And the second time the cock crew. And Peter called to mind the word that Jesus said unto him, Before the cock crow twice, thou shalt deny me thrice. And when he thought thereon, he wept.
  18. But go your way, tell his disciples and Peter that he goeth before you into Galilee: there shall ye see him, as he said unto you.

  23. He said unto them, But whom say ye that I am? Peter answering said, The Christ of God.
  24. And it came to pass about an eight days after these sayings, he took Peter and John and James, and went up into a mountain to pray.
  25. But Peter and they that were with him were heavy with sleep: and when they were awake, they saw his glory, and the two men that stood with him.
