  1. ‘Command the Israelites to bring you clear oil of pressed olives for the light so that the lamps may be kept burning continually.

  20. ‘But now, for a brief moment, the Lord our God has been gracious in leaving us a remnant and giving us a firm place in his sanctuary, and so our God gives light to our eyes and a little relief in our bondage.
  21. So we continued the work with half the men holding spears, from the first light of dawn till the stars came out.
  22. By day you led them with a pillar of cloud, and by night with a pillar of fire to give them light on the way they were to take.
