  1. If anyone does not remain in Me, he is thrown away like a branch and dries up; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned.

  22. although I myself could boast as having confidence even in the flesh. If anyone else thinks he is confident in the flesh, I have more reason:
  23. For even when we were with you, we used to give you this order: if anyone is not willing to work, then he is not to eat, either.
  24. If anyone does not obey our instruction in this letter, take special note of that person so as not to associate with him, so that he will be put to shame.
  25. But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.
