  1. The Last Supper

    On the first day of the Festival of Unleavened Bread, when it was customary to sacrifice the Passover lamb, Jesus’ disciples asked him, “Where do you want us to go and make preparations for you to eat the Passover?”
  2. “It is one of the Twelve,” he replied, “one who dips bread into the bowl with me.

  17. Then the two told what had happened on the way, and how Jesus was recognized by them when he broke the bread.
  18. When Jesus looked up and saw a great crowd coming toward him, he said to Philip, “Where shall we buy bread for these people to eat?”
  19. Philip answered him, “It would take more than half a year’s wages to buy enough bread for each one to have a bite!”
  20. Then some boats from Tiberias landed near the place where the people had eaten the bread after the Lord had given thanks.
  21. Jesus the Bread of Life
